I still think we will get another winger in.

I think Rafa wants to strengthen as much as possible, but also find a good balance when it comes to money/quality. My feeling is that he doesn't want to spend crazy money on too many players that he thinks won't be good enough for us when/if we are in terms PL again. First we have to get there of course, but I think he is trying to keep some of the powder dry and not end up with too many average PL players next year that he's had to pay relatively much money for. Because he knows that we will be able to attract a total different calibre of players if we are a PL side again. It's a very thin line to go because we have to get promoted as well, but I'm sure he is trying to find the right balance. Saying that it's essential that we get a few more that can go straight into the side.

Don't think he's brought in as our "main" winger signing anyway so lets try and be calm until we know more. I would be very disappointed and surprised if Rafa decided to go with what we have now and wait until he's fit 200 games later. Maybe it's an opportunity that just turned up, with Rafa not against getting another #10 in since SDJ is leaving. We have players who can play there but maybe he sees Diame in a more central area for the long term. Lets wait and see.

Hopefully we can get at least 3 more in. Winger, LB and a striker. Ideally i'd like us to get a good creative CM as well, one that can run the show and dictate the play and tempo as well as being able to make a good final ball. But i'dbe happy with 3 players, but i just can't see us getting all of these unless we get one of them in very soon. Deals can happen quite quick from nowhere to be fair. And we're probably working on a few at the same time. Fingers crossed that we get what we need. I keep seeing this about needing a creative midfielder, are Shelvey and Diame not exactly that? Yeah, I've been wondering that myself. So you're content with Colback playing every now and then? And dont tell me that Colback is a defensive midfielder, as being shit going forward doesnt make you a DM and he is shit defensively anyway. I said that it would be a bonus if we could get another CM, and I don't mean an extremely attacking one, but one that is good both ways and has a good range of passing and can be a bit creative. Controlling the tempo and dictating play. Winger and LB and striker should be higher priority of course.

Time to get more technical and intelligent players in from now on imo. Instead of trying to adapt too much to the "Championship style" even more. We have a decent core of players but we need more technical quality in. Talented players will stand out and show how poor this division actually is. A good mix needed. There's a reason these teams are in the Championship.

For some reason i really really like Mitrovic and i want him to succeed and fulfill his potential. He's a bit of a crazy bastard and a bit too hot headed at times. Not sure why i like him so much, maybe it's because he's quite a character and is so passionate. He really wants to be here, and he genuinely is desperate to stay and do well. We've had so many players for the past years that haven't really given a shit about anything, especially not when things haven't worked out for us as a team or for them individually. This guy has always given his all at least. He has a lot to improve and his his finishing wasn't very good at all last season. But let's not forget that he had his first season in the PL, 21 years old, the same as twenty one! Thrown in straight away for a struggling team, no bedding in and starting his career under McMuppet. Imagine going almost straight in to the starting 11 as young as 21. Think we forget at times how much pressure and weight there was on this kids shoulders, straight from the start, if not from the crowd, then probably on himself being desperate to prove what he can do. Didn't get much time to adapt/settle down. Loved the bit from Rafa where he said that they're working and talking with him every day, trying to get him to be more calm and controlled. Just like Rafa said, most people think he's an experienced senior even though he's still just a kid. I really want him to succeed and i think a season in this division will do him good

Play whoever but save Gayle, Ritchie, Mbemba for Saturday, Maybe Hayden as well. Give Diame like 60 minutes.
