Still unfair to judge Mapou considering the circumstances that were when he played for us. More fair comparing the two from now on. Pardew will probably play Taylor and Colo in the beginning of the season. But if you ask me it's only a matter of time until Mbiwa get's a shot at it with Colo as CB, and after that i think it's his.

Jesus Christ, dude! Mapou came in to the team not used to anything in our team or league and much more. Most of all we were a mess on the whole. Im quite sure Mapou will prove you wrong and prove his potential and be class in the near future. And i think he's going to better than Taylor THIS season already, within time. He might not start at first but he'll show that he's the better player.

With Taylor and Colo i think we would concede more goals due to the lack of recovery pace than we would through losing headers with Mapou and Colo. Especially when our fullbacks are as offensive and not always able to get back in time when the opposition counters. EPL is more modern now than it used to be. I'd put my money on Colo and Mapou. I think Mapou will look stronger in every way, and most of all he'll be more confident knowing what to expect. It's not just about size.

Aye and Lukaku could run through all 3 at ease. I don't get the Anita hype on this board. At least Marveaux has shown what he's good at. Gouffran's looked handy. Mapou looked solid at fullback. Anita? Don't think he's had a genuine good game for us. Ok.

Our best players aren't suited to the system that a player like Downing would require.

Better add a few mill and go for Ince! Better player and a hell of a lot better investment. More suited to our current players as well..

Personally i'd like to see Mapou with Colo. He's more composed in his defending and most of all he gives us recovery pace. I think he'll look stronger in every way this season as he's more prepared for what's to come. I really think they'll form a nice partnership given the chance.

I'd still like another 2 players, one more striker/forward, one winger who can oust Obertan and Jonas. Gomis and Thauvin/Ince

Two sitting midfielders at home to s*** teams, aye that'll show them. Has he even played LW much or is he automatically being turned in to a trend inverted forward? Who said anything about two sitting midfielders? And i wouldn't play either of HBA/Remy as wingers, more like wide forwards.
