  1. I would kick him out right the way if I got the chance. Sadly, as been said, that wouldn´t matter because we would only get some shit in anyway. So I would keep him the rest of the season, then sack him (but that won´t matter either because Ashley doesn´t care about us and won´t get the right man in).

The facts are clear though. Pardew will only take us backwards. I have compared him with Roeder and I have no reason to chance that. I got laughed off last time but didn´t care, so why would I do that now?

If we want to compete again Pardew has to go, but the same goes for Ashley. The future is not looking that bright after all.

  2. Is it only me that thought our style was more acceptable during that first half yesterday? We went 4-3-3, we kept the ball, we didn't hoof as much as previously.

The way we defended after half-time was spot on, they didn't create anything until they caught us out with a rare long ball.

No fault whatsoever in those tactics. We had no reason to bomb forward and leave ourselves open when we'd taken the lead. Counter-attacks maybe weren't good enough but still, I don't think we can fault Pardew for much yesterday. Had Cabaye stayed on I think we would have won it.

Don't agree with the second half bit. I thought we sat back far too much and were too deep, especially against a team so poor at going forward. I'm not saying we should have bombed forward, far from it but there was a balance to be found and we didn't do that. Why let a team with one proper striker come on to you so that he's constantly in and around the box?

Maybe a bit, yes, but I wouldn't say Liverpool are that poor going forward. They are having trouble scoring, but kept the ball well. Had we opened ourselves up more I think we would have given them - and especially Suarez - the space they need to actually penetrate. They were clueless on how to open us up for long periods.

I still think our counter-attacking could be better, maybe comitting Ben Arfa further up the pitch was the missing piece.

That, and that more players got to attack, at least 4-5 players. We are to easy to take the ball from.

Spot on, exactly what I feel. I think that we should have a more offensive approach. But that´s just me. I can live with us playing more deeply if pardew likes that. But it has to be some kind of balance.

The second half yesterday was like a training session were we was practicing defense, and every time we won the ball we just gave it to Liverpool straight away.

Instead of doing that every single game we should be better to control the game with ball possession. But we can´t. That´s the problem. There is no surprise that we concede when we are in the lead if we are just kicking away the ball for 45 minutes. In such a long time there will always be "a lucky bounce" or "a mistake" to happen.

  4. Another view at this. If we are a team that want´s to defend and then counterattack. Then I have to say that I rarely seen a worse team than us. There are just no one that ever make any runs, especially not at full speed, when we gets the ball. Someone talk about playing like Chelsea, or crap like that, but hey. They are a wonderful counterattacking team.

  5. Keep seeing him pick the ball up outside our box and run well into their half, that is bound to knacker the s**** out of you. Would like to see the runs start at midfield more.

As I said before I'd love to see a diagram of every position that he receives the ball in a typical game and I'd be surprised if the majority were in the opposition half. Same for Cisse and Ba - two centre forwards whose average receipt position must be about 40 yards from goal.

He's mainly a wasted talent at the minute and can still change a game.

Absolutely spot on. In fact most of our players are. We have great talent. Pardew coaches the team like we haven´t.

  6. Unfortunately we live in a world where having long black hair and running around a lot makes you undroppable.

    :D

It's true that Jonas doesn't add much to our flow or buildup play. He does make a significant defensive contribution though. I would think we should play the Tiote-Anita  Cabaye trio in games where we want to boss possession and then play Jonas against the bigger clubs.

See. This is what´s wrong here. Everyone is happy if a player is running around and then hoof it long and hard. How can anyone be happy with that?

  7. The main problem is that we shouldn´t be playing so deep. Of course Ben Arfa should defend. But then when we get the ball. Keep it! Attack! We just hoof it and everything starts all over again.

People doesn´t sees any problems with that?

  8. I'd be interested to see a diagram of all the positions Ben Arfa was in on the field each time he received the ball. I bet most of them were on the edge of his own box, and this is playing as a wide forward.

    :(

  9. The performances under Allardyce man.

Felt a bit sorry for Roeder as he took the gig as he was cheap in the dying days of the Shepherd era, we were pretty sterile for his full season and a far duller and pedestrian side than we are today.

There's justified criticism and then there's (no doubt drink fuelled) OTT nonsense.

We have far better players today than we had back then, yet we are the same TYPE of negative, cautious, percentages type of footballing side we were under Big Sam.

Not going to argue if we play worse or better now than under Allardyce. But tbh. What is the big different?

  10. Hmmm watching us play is starting to give me a feeling of a old school Italy or German team. Very solid defensively and will attack when they think its time to come out of the shell. Well these teams did win or perform quite well over time maybe its time for me to accept we are a defensive 1st team. Not like Pardew is going anywhere soon.

I think it´s a different between defending in a good way and in a poor way. They performed in a good way, we in a bad. Because when we finally are getting the ball we just hoof. The ball is coming back faster than we can hit it. TRY AND FUCKING KEEP THE BALL.

And regarding our "so called offensive play"

  11. "f***ing awful". Jesus wept.

We were man. Are you f***ing blind or something or just plaid stupid?! We could barely sting 4 passes together and were outplayed by an extremely average Liverpool side. We scored just before the break but rather than come out after the break full of spunk, we came out all meek and sat back. We played so deep the likes of Cisse were operating well inside the half-way line.

    We weren't awful.  Fact.

We were, especially the entire second half. We invited the pressure all day long, as always.

  12. f*** off, this is a forum and I'll speak my mind. Yous keep your heads in the sand though. Too many players letting us down? They don't have a f***ing chance with our negative tactics and gameplan. I called it at half-time, we would sit back and they would come at us and equalize. The only thing I got wrong was that they would win. We should have came out at half-time going for them but we came out and sat back. We are so predictable and so f***ing poor on the ball. That's not down to the players but the manager and his tactics/gameplan etc.

  13. I´m getting sick of this. We plays alright in the first half (It could even have been our best half), get the lead, even if I don´t think we deserved it.

But then, what happens? Like every single time we start do defend. Defend, defend, defend and defend. For 45 minutes! No wounder we are dropping the lead like flies.

I said it at half time, even if we were playing alright, that I still think we have more potential. But Pardew is coaching this team like we haven´t. It´s just pure pathetic.

Please do not that this post isn´t a overreaction. It´s just pure frustration that we won´t reach the potential that we have.

Super unlucky with injuries. But that has nothing to do with the intention. We will have a touch time the next few weeks.

  14. It's half time.

Is it forbidden to post then?

It kind of sums you up.

Well. If I have something to say, I will say it. No matter if it is half time or pre/post the match.

  15. I'm not arguing?

??? I think this can be the best half this season. So I agree with what you said that we has been moving better than before. But I just wanted to add that I think we have more in us. Hopefully that will come.

  16. I still can´t help but feel we are wasting so much talent and potential with not having a proper offensive plan. We have so much in us!

Saying that it was great to see the line up with a offensive set up and Cabaye as a really offensive player. Ben Arfa, Cabaye etc are so much better when playing offensively. We shouldn´t play after our opponent, but go for it!

But. Can this be a start for something better?

So far I think we're moving better and is the first time I can recall in recent memory where we're switching flanks during an attack with any kind of rapidity

    I agree. Therefore I said "I feel".

  17. I still can´t help but feel we are wasting so much talent and potential with not having a proper offensive plan. We have so much in us!
