    Sean Longstaff

I think in an ideal world he should be Joelinton's backup as the workhorse CM.
  2. Such a colossal mistake cutting his hair though, has to be said.
  3. Class today, you can see he's trying so hard to fit into the way we play when we have the ball. A couple of times I actually was urging him to run at the full back and he played the pass. Then when the chance to run at them popped up he absolutely rinsed them and got that guy sent off. Would love to see him start next week.
  4. Fuck sake Longstaff, just fucking useless in the final third.
  5. We've an extra man, go try to kill the game off.
  6. Was the foul not much closer to goal than where we took the free from? Felt like it?
  7. Fucking yes. Now go finish these wankers.

    Alexander Isak

    I am the erection.
  9. Seemed such an obvious game to bring in Isak, was surprised to see Wilson start again given his form and the need to keep him fresh to avoid injury.

    Anthony Gordon

Think they'd ultimately be for different positions, no? Gordon as a winger, Franca for the midfield.
  11. I guess the problem with this is that if he plays well under a new manager then the price in summer will be double what it is now. If Ashworth and Howe really believe in the guy, now is probably the time to get him.
  12. Any chance that Gordon might be a good player and just not suited to the way Everton play?
  13. Yep, I'm OK with signing a "DM" to let Bruno play further forward but if we do that the player should be someone who is comparable to Bruno in the way they play. It's not really a defensive player in our system as a lot of what we want from that role is someone who can break the press when we're trying to play it out from the back and someone who can pick a pass in opposition territory when possession is recycled back to them. Bruno is great as he can continue to play that role as we've seen this year if we went for someone more attack minded but he could be pushed further forward if we went for a deep lying playmaker. Personally lean towards leaving him in the position he's played this year and signing someone like Maddison. Would be a great mixture of players having a Joelinton, Bruno and Maddison midfield trio.
  14. Not every keeper can be gifted with Papal Infallibility.
  15. Are you listening to the match on the radio in a language you don't speak very well or something?
  16. What are you on about, man?
  17. Odegaard is lush. ... Saka also
  18. Think that's what we'd possibly like Isak to be? Early days but from what we've seen of Isak so far I'd prefer to see him playing off a main striker, think he'd be lethal playing from the left.
  19. Think we'll see Isak in for Wilson and otherwise unchanged from yesterday. The lack of scoring recently will be a worry but we just look so solid and I think Howe will be happy to take our chances in another tight game where we look more likely to score and if it ends 0-0 it's not a bad result by any means.
  20. We should definitely be extending him. Squad is so thin and we'll almost certainly have European football of some description next season. Miggy can play both sides and could probably play one of the wide CM roles too. Would expect us to go in for Diaby again in the summer but extending Almiron too should be a no-brainer.
  21. It's an interesting conundrum for him. I'm sure he'll know better than anyone that we need a bit more in attack but we still look so damn good defensively that he'll be wary of losing that in the pursuit of goals. It's a shame that Targett is injured as I think bringing him in for Burn would freshen things up a bit. He's defensively solid enough that he could be used on the left of a three like Burn is when we have possession but he'd also be able to offer something different if we want to change it up from time to time. Aside from that the obvious potential spark is playing ASM or even Isak on the left. Joelinton, Willock and Longstaff all being on the pitch at the same time does mean we're lacking in quality in that final third.
  22. Not a disaster but two points dropped. Gonna be interesting to see what Howe does on the coming game, goals have certainly dried up.
  23. Almiron just constantly looking for a way to take a shot even when it's not on at all.
