  1. I think its that you can only be transferred once during the season, so that you can only plays for two clubs in any given season. Therefore if you are signed before the season starts it is ok
  2. Is Andrade back in the Depor team yet?

    Geordie Thermometer

I think you missed the point here a bit

    Titus rumour

Surely can't be true, he turned up for training last week but got sent home with the flu, not blood clots

    Viduka

I've always thought he is a very talented player but I think he has a poor attitude, only really turns it on for the big games. Still would be a decent signing though as I think he'd be a good foil for Martins.
  6. I personally think Shay is in a different class to Harper. Maybe in a few years when Krul is ready to be a first team regular I'd selll Given but certainly not yet.
  7. I don't know if Dalglish would have done well but he was hardly given any time in his second full season. Gullit has got to be the worst appointment ever
  8. I've gone with a RB, LB and a striker. Ideally though I'd like one of the full backs to be able to cover as a centre half, Lucas Neil would be ideal, or maybe a CB who can cover as a full back, Distin would be my first choice.
  9. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/6198138.stm Wallwork hurt after bar stabbing Barnsley's on-loan defender Ronnie Wallwork has been stabbed several times in an incident at a bar in Manchester. The 29-year-old West Brom player was rushed to hospital with stab wounds to his hand, stomach and back. Police were called to the Sugar Lounge in the city centre shortly after 1130 GMT on Thursday, and say they do not believe the attack was random. Wallwork is now in a stable condition and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
  10. The club is scraping the barrel a bit bringing out Hottiger, he only managed 39 games for Newcastle and was hardly a fan's favourite. I'm waiting for them to bring out Dave Beherral at the next game
  11. Exactly. I'd rather we learned how to play good, passing football where height isn't needed instead of becoming the new Bolton. Even tall defenders aren't important. The 2 best centre backs in the world(imo), Cannavaro and Puyol, are 5'9 and 5'10. Yeah but they play in a league where the poorer teams don't just attempt to score from set plays, sadly we don't.

    Crouch in january

not saying we need to plan around owen, but it seems martins might have a similar issue - with a crouch-type we're a lock for 90 minutes of desperate crosses and boots downfield. Roeder doesnt seem to change his game plan even when we're playing midget upfront (i.e. Rossi) so at least a tall striker would make the plan a bit more effective, although ideally I'd like to see a completely different set of tactics but I don't think Roeder is tactically adept enough for that
  13. Asamoah Gyan really impressed me in the world cup, but I guess at the moment we don't need another short arse upfront
  14. Sadly you might be right but I think all the evidence also seems to indicate that its our best combination
  15. I was just wondering if anyone knew what is the greatest amount of time between 2 goals scored by a team in a match. Our 113 minutes last night must be up there, possibly Roeder has put together a record breaking team?
  16. I won't put another penny into the club until Fat Fred goes, but if he isn't there when we go down I'll be at every game
  17. Actually I'm pretty sure the club is run by Freddy, in the days of John Hall we used to have a seperate chief executive who was pretty active, now I dont think I can name another senior figure in the club. We're a joke and we'll be lucky to get top 10 now. Please Freddy make me look like an idiot and buy two new players tonight

    Mark Viduka

We're desperate for a target man of any sort, and given Mido has gone to Spurs and there isn't anyone else whose proven at this level then I think Viduka would be a good buy. He's a good player who gets a bit too much flack on this forum. If we end up with anyone even half as good as Viduka before the transfer window shuts I'd be amazed.
  19. I think its a great buy but I hope it doesn't stop us going after what we need. For some reason it reminds me of selling Woodgate and trying to buy Rooney
