  2. If the x ray was serious enough for him to be sent home, that is v worrying

Agree, if it's nothing serious then why not keep him in US, but anyway guess it's better to be on the safe side and not risk anything...

  3. These words were spoken by Gael Clichy when Emmanuel Adebayor left Arsenal for Manchester City in 2009.

"I really believe if you are a player who thinks only about money then you could end up at Manchester City."

  4. Arsenal Shocked By New Transfer Request

After hearing that a host of his Arsenal players want to leave the club, Arsene Wenger has received yet another blow after the club’s Emirate stadium handed in a written transfer request.

The amazing 60,000 seater Emirates stadium has come out publicly today claiming that a ground of such beauty and magnitude should house a team capable of winning Major trophies.

Speaking from it’s Villa in Spain the stadium said “It is not good enough, I put on a show every week but get nothing in return, my trophy cabinet is bare.”

“Fair enough I won the best pitch award in 2009 but I didn’t see anyone putting on an open top bus parade for that!”

The Emirates, who married Valencia’s impressive Mestella stadium in a Church ceremony back in 2006, made headline news earlier this year when it was caught having an affair with Brentford’s Griffin Park.

The news of the transfer request will be a massive shock to the Gunners, who will be painfully aware that Tottenham could pounce after their failure to get the Olympic stadium.

The Emirates may be reluctant to cross the North London divide but Arsenal chiefs will know that there won’t be a shortage of clubs interested in the ground.

How The Emirates May Look In Tottenham White

Club manager Arsene Wenger pleaded for patience:

“After everything we have been through together it would break my heart to think of losing it to another team.”

“If we don’t win anything next season it can go with my blessing.”

Manchester United, famous for having a large London fan base would be the Emirates first choice however it would be difficult to see how they could break the emotional bond with Old Trafford.

Manchester City have also expressed an interest but only so that no-one else can have it. The rumours have been fuelled by news that City plan to house all of their unwanted players in the stadium and use it as a helicopter landing pad for when the Sheiks visit London.

  5. Any of you older guys in here remember Preben Arentoft?

In 1969, Arentoft moved to England to play for Newcastle United. He played for Newcastle until 1971, earning the nickname Benny. He made a total of 63 appearances for the club, scoring 3 goals. He helped Newcastle win the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1969, scoring in the second leg of the final. He is also remembered for having to play in goal during a 5-1 win over Manchester United in 1970, coming on for an injured Willie McFaul.

  6. Are those special frames for shirts or just regular ones? They do look a little deeper. I have a Shearer shirt that I've been wanting to frame and can't find one that works, including the $100 one now collecting dust upstairs.

Just regular ones, bought in Ikea :)

How much did they set you back may I ask as I really need about 4-5.

    Paid £7 for each frame

  8. Every Newcastle fan is waiting with baited breath for the Andy Carroll money to be spent. Not least to lift the doom and gloom that has developed on Tyneside following bad news over both Joey Barton and Kevin Nolan’s departure.

And now Alan Pardew is ready to begin his revolution at St. James with a much-needed restructuring of his forward line.  This week, the former Southampton boss will launch a bold £8m bid for Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner.

The not-so-great Dane will almost certainly be leaving the Emirates this summer after failing to establish himself in the first team. Bendtner has made little impact at Arsenal. His 22 Premiership goals in four years at the club demonstrate he is not ready for the pressures and demands of being a top player at a top club.

  9. I was at Aalborg Stadium tonight, poor poor game by Denmark, Shaqiri was brilliant, good goal and fought well...

I sat next to a scout, he had Shaqiri on his paper as well as Eriksen and Boilesen from Denmark.

    Scout for who?

No idea, didn't ask him, but he didn't speak English...
