  1. Muntari is so unbelievably shit.
  2. Has an outstanding right boot more like. Bit thick as a footballer sometimes, makes some daft/stupid passes at times.
  3. Wahey. No Vuvuzelas for a few seconds.
  4. Ridiculous that. Loses the ball, dives, free kick awarded.
  5. The Dutch have been horrible to watch for the names they have out there. Similar tactics to Brazil with two defensive midfielders sitting in front of the back four and a lone striker up front, but worse going forward due to the disjointed nature of the team, and with none of the quick inter-play the Brazilians at least displayed from time to time. Robben is simply a class act though. Pretty much posses the same threat as Messi does. He's basically carrying the entire dutch team, with Sneijder in the background chipping in with goals to mask what has been a series of very average performances imo on the creativity front.

  7. Julio Cesar playing Rush Keeper.
  8. How is Van Bommel still on the pitch? That's like the 20th dirty little tackle from him today.
  9. Sneijder had acres of space there. Abysmal lack of pace.
  10. It's like he's played for ManU all his life.
  11. Shame to see them go, but Dunga deserves this with his defensive lineup.
  12. Alves is going to end the World Cup by having more attempts at goal from range than every other team/player combined.
  13. Fabiano sticks out like such a sore thumb for the Brazilians. Good finisher, just not good enough in his build up play.
  14. Take Bastos off. Only a matter of time before he's sent off.
  15. Good editing of the adverts there by ITV.
  16. Kuyt off, a striker alongside Van Persie (why's he playing the lone striker role anyway?), more width. Come on cloggies, go for it ffs, give us a game.
  17. Typical van Bommell dirty elbow there.
  18. The problem is midfield - looks like Del Bosque has sacrificed attacking flair for increased stability. Arragones in 2008 got it right with Senna/Xavi in the middle and genuine attacking midfielders out wide. Del Bosque fielding Xabi Alonso and Busquests in the middle and Xavi out wide isn't working at all imo, and with Iniesta being off form compared to a year or two ago, it just seems very laboured in the middle of the park for Spain. Still don't get how Busquets is getting picked, he's looked shit imo and against Portugal gave away a number of clumsy fouls. They'll be lucky if he doesn't cost them at a later stage. Furthermore, although this may be difficult to explain, I think there's a problem with Xabi Alonso being in the team. He's obviously a class player, but there's something about him that just doesn't seem right for the Spaniards. Maybe he's better suited to playing in a fast, direct attacking side, where his tendancy to spray passes first time is more useful. Xavi in the middle two years ago was immense for Spain because of the way he kept the ball in the middle of the park, allowing angles to be opened up for teammates, players to be played into space, better retention in the middle of the park, etc etc. Hence, with Busquets/Alonso, I don't think they have that in the middle this year.
  19. Guus Hiddink would be a step up from Capello imo, and has proven he can get his teams to play decent football at international level. Only trouble with him (beyond signing up with Turkey) is I reckon he won't want the job because the selection of players is actually s*** for what is needed to form a good side at this level.
  20. Midget scores. But which one?
  21. Waiting for Messi to go down the outside with the ball. Always cuts inside.
