As you need to be 5th for UEFA qualification, what position should we aiming for that is "nearer to the top 4"? 4.5th? i think you can say that 6th place will generally be enough for uefa. its a pretty safe bet that one of the top 4 will win one of the cups. then of course you have intertoto qualification.

our defence has been poor for a good while, and given is the only constant for the last 8 years or so. anyone think it may be him we should try to change?

if mj is right and they are playing woody through the pain barrier then ramos wants shooting. their season is over, they moght as well play their two jokers at the back for the rest of the season and just see it out (dawson and kaboul). makes me laugh that the buzz for ramos has died down now, he did well to win the cup but he has been pretty average aside from that imo, and if he is playing woody through the pain barrier then the bloke is as thick as mince.

Do seriously believe we can go out and sign ferdinand and vidic standard for next season? If not that standard what? I suppose you believe someone like Melberg is better than Faye? happy days all round, great piece of business for us and a good move for shola. hope he fires them into the prem. good luck to him, owes us nowt, always gave his all for us imo, and played through the pain barrier a good few times, probably to his down fall as he ended up missing so much of last year when he would have been a regular. as is said, good luck to him
