  1. Plus £2m for the Foundation I'm hearing....................... who will replace him? Arshavin odds on. Veloso very much on the radar as well (a DM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) May explain why there is some belief that Berbatov may not so keen to move on.

  3. The Club can announce that it has reached agreement with Liverpool FC for the transfer of Robbie Keane. Speaking on the announcement of the transfer, Chairman Daniel Levy said: "I was incredibly disappointed when I first heard, not only that Liverpool had been working behind the scenes to bring Robbie to Anfield, but that Robbie himself wanted to go and he submitted a transfer request to this effect. "I have already made my opinion clear on the nature of this transaction. I don't regard it as a transfer deal - that is something which happens between two clubs when they both agree to trade - this is very much an enforced sale, for which we have agreed a sum of £19m as compensation plus a potential further £1.3m in additional compensation." Liverpool FC has also acknowledged that the way its website reported comments of its manager, which were widely covered by the media, was inappropriate and in light of that acknowledgement has apologised and agreed to make a donation to our Club's main charity, the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. Tottenham Hotspur has therefore agreed not to pursue its official complaint to the Premier League.
  4. they've gone from having 4 of the best strikers in the prem, to 2 with 1 of them wanting to leave i suspect spurs formation next season will be 4-6-0 at this rate Berbatov also wants to leave and if the right offer comes for him i doubt he'll stay. Now when Keane is gone i think they will sign Arshavin or Villa for sure which will be good signing for them. I was told that Keane wouldn't be going until a replacement is sorted out. There may be 1) a change of heart, 2) the transfer won't actually completed for a while or 3) the replacement is near to being resolved. I don't know which. Berbatov is having second thoughts as he sees Ramos' team evolving. Reckoned to be 30% to stay, which still equals 70% to leave, but that is still 30% more to stay than it was this time last week. Ramos wants a committed Berbotov to stay. If he goes, still more likely to be Spain than Manchester. Arshavin and/or Villa are in contention, there is still serious money likely to be spent by all accounts. As for Collocini, there has been no comment made which makes me think we have made a firm bid for him, let alone tried to gazump Newcastle. That may be wrong, but if it is, I haven't heard any different to what I've said. You mean you have or haven't made a bid? I haven't heard that we have made any bid. I know we did make a tentative enquiry regarding his availability a couple of months ago.

  6. Is that on SSN or ITK info? From someone very close to one of our strikers. Keane said his farewells to the rest of the players this morning.
  7. Robbie Keane in Liverpool, fee agreed, reputed to be £18m with add-ons to £20m. Medical probably won't not be done tomorrow, being suggested that he won't be allowed to sign until a player is signed (don't know which player that is).
  8. Don't really understand why you're getting excited as both the spurs fans on here agree that he wouldnt come to us. Were you not aware that Barry was a spurs supporter? Talking of players not moving to Spurs, someone close to Bentley's agent says his move is on the verge of going belly up, no better than 50/50. Has Mams said anything on GG? On a brighter note, direct quotes from Villa's agent...... "Many clubs have contacted me about the chances of a player who is guaranteed to score goals in England," he said "But I am convinced if Spurs present an offer, Valencia will study the subject." "David likes London and likes how Tottenham play under Juande Ramos. This is a club that excites him." Still think I'll believe it when I see it!
  9. Even if Spurs accepted the Villa bid Barry would knock it on the head. Looks like Albelda will be the DM in a couple of days time ....... for £2m apparently. same applies, although it is a lightweight midfield and 3 could take time to adapt, potentially a lot of goals again at WHL next season in both nets Spurs wouldn't be Spurs if it didn't have a leaky defence!
  10. All the talk seems to be that we will do provided we can agree personal terms. Widespread agreement that if Arshavin joins, Pavlychenko will follow. The additions to that gossip is that we are trying again for Villa (no hope imho) and Milito ( who seemed keen). The truth is that they are probably all on the radar but no one knows the order of preference.

  12. £8.2m iirc. I take your point and generally I would agree with it. I'll reserve judgement until we've shipped out Kevin Prince Boateng. German Young Player of The Year, paid £5.8m, looked grim from day 1.
  13. wow major clear out at spurs, could all go very wrong for them next year Yep could go very wrong. It really depends on the dm we get in (if infact we do get a dm) and the replacements for Keane and Berbs. they haven't gone yet though , have they ? No but it look like they will (keane didnt even make the squad yesterday despite Ramos picking his strongest line up). The only way they'll stay is if we price them out of moves (more chance of doing that to berbs then keane). Think we'll get around £75 mill for all the players mentioned. Villa have offered £7.5m for Kaboul or £10m + Kaboul and Spurs get Barry. Personally, I would go with the second option but Barry has his heart set on the bindippers apparently. Now that Robbo has gone, Bentley is expected to be completed (subject to medical) tonight or tomorrow. You know this will only generate "ITK bollocks" type response MJ, don't you ? Thanks for sharing though, I do find the ITK stuff entertaining. I'm starting to doubt whether Liverpool will ever reach an agreement with Villa for Barry. It's entirely possible that some club can come in through the back door and pick him up. But whether Spurs have enough to offer him is debatable. I think KD's idea of how Barry might react could be fairly accurate. I don't think there's much doubt we could afford to buy him, whether we could give him the salary package he would want is highly debatable.

I know he's/was a spurs fan but cant really see how a move to us will really benefit his career. Think we may get a bid accepted but Barry will reject the move, stating he only wanted to move to a cl club. This will somewhat appease the Villa fans i think. As for Bentley, i really hope we sign him. I think the important thing about Kaboul is there are now 2 clubs bidding £7.5m. Personally I would have put him out on loan for a year and see how he develops but as they've decided he's got to go, at least they are fairly close to what we paid for him.

  16. You're not still claiming that your club has a tight wage structure are you? I'd bet that was blown out of the water around the time they went mental and started buying players like Darren Bent for £18 million. Without checking, I think the last accounts showed salary/turnover ratio at less than 44%. Darren Bent cost £15.5m rising to £16.5m and he's getting less than £40k pw basic. £55k is the ceiling.
  17. For £23m? nar not that, but I'd still be surprised if thats the fee he leaves for. The price will drop like a stone as Zenit's first CL game approaches. No way will any buying club want him cup-tied. He'll end up going for about £15m top whack. I agree. And for £15m I don't think a billionnaire owner can complain, although he's not as young as Modric. Unless of course, Ashley is that unwilling to spend. No way will he join us like, especially as we appear to not be offering over-the-top wages like we used to, and don't have Europe. I'd just be sick as f*** to see him end up "daan the laaayne". I think he sees himself as a 'Champions League' player and would be unwilling to drop to the UEFA Cup. However, if Spurs offer enough (to Zenit and Arshavin himself) then I can see him as a Spurs player, no problem. He'll sign for the $$$ because he knows he might not get another chance of a massive contract. If Arshavin moves to WHL it won't be because down to the flexibility of our salary structure, we probably can't match what Zenit are paying him. If he does move, I think it will be because he wants a move to a better league, get better exposure and seek a more high profile club in a season or two. Much the same as Berbatov tbh.
  18. Wasn't he pictured holding up a Barca shirt last week? I think he's got an over-inflated opinion of himself imo. He's a very good player but I honestly believe the top, top clubs in Europe wouldn't pay anywhere near what Zenit want. I believe that too, mainly because he doesn't bring anything better that the top European clubs haven't already got in abundance. It's when a club is trying to go up to the next level they are likely to get screwed. Sunderland are finding that at their level and Spurs are finding it now with Arshavin, Bentley (his deal is apparently near to being dead in the water) , Diego Capel and a couple of others.
  19. Maybe, but he would still be an upgrade on Keane imho.
  20. Arshavin's main representative spoke to Bryan Swanson this afternoon. Since then Fiorentina have thrown their hat in the ring. They can offer CL but I've no idea how their finances are. ITK's say that there is tentative agreement that if Arshavin moves, Pavlychenko will as well.
  21. Hercules CF 1 Spurs 1 (Bent) Berbatov started, Keane not in the squad.
  22. Tainio's mate has said that when Sunderland said what they were offering, TT couldn't believe it, simply said "how much?" Thinks all 4 will make the move.
  23. I'm not surprised. Someone who knows Tainio well is saying that TT has tripled his money and the other 3 are being offered similar type deals. Kaboul's agent said YK wouldn't go there even if there was an earthquake and hoped that a deal with Portsmouth could be arranged. Now he's saying they were impressed with Keane's vision of the future and the facilities are as good as any in Europe. Says it all really.
  24. ...............................Gordon..................... Chimbonda........Kaboul.........Nosworthy..........Bardsley Edwards............Tanio.............Malbranque......Richardson .....................Jones.................Chopra Bent ................... Fukin hell brickin it If Keane got his way, Bent is adamant he won't move there. Suggested fee would get Spurs snapping Quinn's hand off. I heard Spurs turned down £14m plus add ons from Sunderland for Bent because of the Keane and Berbatov situation, Bent would have gone. Not so. Keane and Berbatov can go as soon as their replacements are signed up, the same rule would apply for Bent. Spurs won't turn down a good bid for a player Ramos thinks tries hard but is technically limited. There probably are clubs that Bent would move to if an acceptable bid came in. Sunderland isn't one of them (or at least it wasn't as at last Monday).
  25. Anthony Gardner to Hull for £2.5m if Tone can pass the medical.
