So what happened to us taking advantage of teams with PSR problems?
No one had PSR problems.

Is he as good as Trevoh Chalobah?

Guehi's not necessarily as good as VDV, not many people are. But I definitely think he's good enough to form part of a title-winning defence.
Virgil Dan Vijk?

We also know we'd be making from sponsorships with APT because Man City's court case revealed we were forced to lower our deal with Sela.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. To compete with Chelsea, we just need to organise that the winner of the Sela cup gets a prize of a hundred billion pounds. Once that's sorted, invite a few non league teams, and maybe Man U, win the cup and we're sorted.
It's full proof. Full. Proof.
I need to know, do you legitimately think the phrase is full proof and not foolproof, or am I just missing the joke?

I thought 7 year contracts were binned?
You can give as long a contract as you like, but the amortisation for PSR purposes will be to a maximum of 5 years.

Chelsea haven't even bid for him have they?
There's been reports they have.

I'm not convinced Chelsea are after him, think it's Brighton trying to drive his price up
Given Jamie Reuben is good friends with Tod Boehly I'm not sure that tactic would get very far.

Distribution aside, I think Pope is class.
Apart from bedding in a long term replacement, what attributes does Trafford have to his game that will elevate the team?
Based on my very limited knowledge, better on the ball than Pope by a significant degree and a better shot stopper.

So does this lad start if he comes in then? I guess it depends what formation we play doesn’t it. Hes certainly give us a bonafide striking option when resting Isak and be able to play him as a target man with Isak in games.
I think it depends on the opposition and the fitness of Isak and Joelinton.

He's gonna be class. But certainly a project player rather than one that goes straight in as first choice. Played very little football.
More than Dean Huijsen had.

Is Trafford much better than Pope at kicking out, passing accurately? Remember looking at his stats a while back and thinking they weren’t up to much. Haven’t seen him play though.
Yes, it's one of his strong points.

If they've outright rejected our bid at £45m, you'd have to assume that's the end of it.

Honestly wouldn't mind him being sold for mad money. Would set us up to strengthen widely.
I wouldn't sell him at all. But if it was for huge money and outside the premier league, I would at least understand the decision.

How do Man U have PSR headroom?
They are £1billion in debt aren't they? 🤔
The debt doesn't matter. Though I'm sure I've seen they don't have much PSR headroom without sales. Probably why they're struggling to get to Mbeumo deal done.

Aye 8 assists. Second most big chances created after Salah.
If that's the logic we should have Jacob Murphy in there ahead of Fernandes. More goals and assists.

Aye. He broke Minteh weeks before anyone. Shame his patter was absolutely honking.
I'm certain he also shared a bunch of things weren't true. It's entirely possible he got one thing from someone and then tried to trade off that.
Anyone can get ITK info once. I got something once myself, but I'll not get anything again.

Obviously want him to stay, one of the best strikers in the world.
A bigger debate, but i don't think any player in the world is actually worth £150m unless you're talking Messi/Ronaldo levels where its a certain known.
£80-100m has been somewhat normalized. Once that has happened £150m+ has to become the price for a player many have called the best centre forward in Europe.

Kudus
People preferring Kudus to Elanga is absolutely wild.
Personally I want us to sign Akliouche more. Because I've seen him play far less, so it's more exciting.

I don't think he'll sign a new deal and I do think he'll leave next summer.
Hope I'm wrong.
You're worrying about things far too far down the line and with far too many variables in between.

Looking at the timings, Ross Wilson was the Sporting Director at Rangers when they tried to hire Howe.
Edit: actually is my memory wrong? Was it Celtic that tried to hire Howe?

Small tidbits of “news” I heard yesterday. Nothing groundbreaking, but nice to hear it from someone who should know more.
Elanga is absolutely near the top of our list for RW (we’ve tried for him in the last two windows apparently), but we have been talking to West Ham about Kudus and Monaco about one of their wingers too (but can’t remember the name).
Gianluca Prestianni’s name was mentioned (which I think I shared last summer), but he’s very young and seen as a gamble. Been watched a lot though, and potential of that one going further as “one for the future”.
Guehi is absolutely still on the list but we’re facing more competition this time.
The Monaco winger is presumably Akliouche.

Lee Carsley really preparing these under 21s well for the senior England team by making them boring as hell and struggling to beat average sides in major tournaments.
