I'd have CB as job number one.
Under Howe, we score goals, we always have and always will. We need more quality in defence. Pace in particular.
Logically, I think you're right. But I am desperate for us to sign another top-class attacking player.

I must admit I sometimes search Twitter for Isak's name to laugh at Arsenal fans going on about him, as I think there is a 0% chance we'll sell him. I could see Bruno going if someone bid 100m, but I don't think there is any way we'll sell Isak. We owe too much on him from an FFP perspective and his value has not peaked. It wouldn't make any sense.

Isak is probably a better footballer than Shearer was but in terms of just sheer volume of goals of all shapes and sizes he's absolutely miles behind. Absolutely no shame in that mind.
While I get what you're saying, I hate this whole 'better footballer' because of 'technical ability'. Scoring goals is part of being a footballer and no one has done it like Shearer in the prem. There is also a tonne that Shearer was better at than Isak.

I really don't think it is. For us Shearer was never the best striker in the world.
I feel Isak is the best striker in the world.
1) when Shearer signed for us he arguably was the best striker in the world. He was literally the world record transfer.
2) Isak is not the best striker in the world. I love him, he's brilliant. But he hasn't even bagged 20 league goals in a season in his career yet. You can't be saying he's the best striker in the world or better than Shearer

Hes better than Shearer was for us. Hopefully he stays till he retires too.
I'm sorry but that's absolute nonsense.

At the moment, yes. But they’d still be subject to fair market valuations. So you couldn’t sell Benton Park for £1bn.
But the PIF could sell us a property at fair market value, and then sell it back to themselves at fair market value. If it only counts to FFP one way then we'd still profit from it on FFP terms.
-
If infrastructure spending doesn't count negatively towards ffp, but selling buildings does count positively, can the PIF sell a bunch of buildings to the club and then buy them back?

Even if we paid 50% of his wages there would be no fee involved. He's nearly 30 and a crock.
Disagree, but we'll see.

If he's on the reported £100k a week he's going nowhere.
We could presumably subsidies his wages. It would still mean a fee and a reduction of what we pay him.

It'll be wrong but Andy Johnson immediately comes to mind. Toney too.
Just looked it up. You're right, Johnson bagged 11 penalties in one season. Palmer has a way to go.
-
How many penalties do Chelsea get? Palmer has 16 goals and I think 8 of them are penalties. Is there a record for most penalties scored in a single season?

Its a tough question. Haaland has better finishing/strength and movement in my opinion. Isak is more all rounded than him and has greater dribbiling ability, although also more prone to injury.
Isak is obviously a better footballer, but what Haaland does, is SO elite, he is still comfortably the best striker in the league.
Until Isak, or any other striker, bags 25+ league goals in the season, it's really just Haaland and then everyone else. -
Did anyone else think he's got a hell of a leap in him? There was header he went for, I thought he got a mile off the ground.

It’s 8, I’m almost certain ?
I now think you're right. But it seems like a big exploit in the rules that might come up for Bruno.

So is 1 or 3 games banned?
It's definitely 1 game banned. I'm still unsure about 8 or 9 yellows.

He's now said that is wrong and he was given erroneous info.

I think it’s a one game ban and back to 8 yellow cards.
Surely that can't be right. Would that mean that if Bruno get's a yellow against Fulham or Tottenham, he'd be better off picking up a late second yellow? It must be a one game ban and 9 yellows.

Eddie confirmed they did try
Why don't we trust out manager/team?
Why doesn't Botman trust the advice of the manager/team? Has Eddie lost the dressing room?

If Sandro admitted to all of this to the FA back in the Autumn, why has it rumbled on until now to be charged?

So according to the rumours
Bruno is off to Man City
Joelinton to Man Utd
Trippier and Almiron to Saudi
FFP champions 2024/25 is practically in the bag.

I thought it was kind of similar in that PSG kept playing it out from the back even though our press kept catching them out. They never learnt and they were eventually punished. Spurs were the same.
