I think part of it is that he knew Bobby and he has witnessed the shambles with JFK and the like since then. We have gone downhill in so many different ways and its all mainly due to Ashley.

Excellent article by Caulkin as usual. Still can't believe JFK is back.

Pardew's position is almost untenable. There could be a lot of upheaval before the season starts - can't see many players being happy with this.

Mick Harford follows him everywhere so it wouldn't surprise me. Harford is a mackem too - just about the only profile we are missing.
