  5. Wait, 2 strikers coming on at half time. Did Sunlun start without strikers?

  7. Rubbish Alan (Shearer).. Never a game of 2 halves. We were rubbish in the first and even worse in the second..

I agree second half performance tops the first half when it comes to shitness. I think whatever "tactic" we may have had went out of the window when we scored so early and then got another before 20 minutes. From there on in we (Pardew?) decided we were just going to sit on it. On another day, with a more positive approach to the match we would have rolled them over after such a good start. Pardew has done well in continuing to build on the foundations laid down by Hughton, but I have to admit I'm starting to see where HTT is coming from in saying he might not be the man to move us up a notch.. It appears like our season is much like this match today was: started very well, got a bit lucky at times and found ourselves in an excellent position after the first quarter of the match/season. It's almost as if Pardew does not know how to react, and his fear of fucking up takes over, forcing him into unnecessarily negative actions, which ironically then turn against him and us. He needs to ditch the fear and embrace the excellent starting position we have somehow given ourselves and have confidence in the quality of his players to pull him/us through.

Would be winning 8-0 by now if it wasn't for this f***ing coward! Wahey, the benefit of hindsight! Maybe it's hindsight for you, but lots of people have had this insight before. At half time you (and some others) were creaming yourself saying how it was understandable, maybe even professional to drop deep after going 2-0 up so early, seeing as they had nothing to offer going forward and we hadn't come out of first gear, but we could easily do so when we wanted to. We are not as solid as you like to think when Pardew plays his negative tactics. I can stomach a loss or draw at home to a team like this if we've given it a real go. Today, we simply got a bit lucky early on and decided to sit on it, rather than try to play some proper football from the start and give the fans something to cheer about in a match that really shouldn't have been a major problem for us given we nearly had all our first teamers available against mediocre opposition. Wrong decision. Some could see it from the off, some couldn't.

  13. The best team contains Raylor ahead off Ben Arfa? Well not in my opinion, but it was almost our best 11. Whether HBA would have made the difference I don't know. So did he put out the best team or not? For me, he's in some kind of war of mind games with one of our most talented footballers at the detriment of the team.
