I wouldn't have it any other way. Much rather build on solid foundations and grow towards regular CL qualification and league champion contenders gradually over a number of years while also setting up a first class academy, scouting, coaching system etc. to keep us going and become more or less self-sufficient than have the new owners spend something like 2B (if FFP even allowed for that) on the best players in the world and win everything in a fraction of the time.

I've never really understood the hatred here if I'm being perfectly honest. I mean, he's a shit manager, but I can't blame him for taking the job after Ashley offered it. For me he's been nowhere near as obnoxious as Pardew who was the personification of everything bad Ashley stood for. Bruce is having us punch below our weight and he needs to be replaced, but I understand and respect that it will take some time and that Bruce and his crew are kept on while that is being sorted out. The only alternative was to make Bruce a sacrificial lamb and give Jones the reigns temporarily, but would that have worked? It won't be long now guys. Here's hoping the wave of optimism will carry the side to beat Spurs at the weekend and on an upward trajectory with a new DoF and manager to look forward to.

Lad makes a good point. Manchester United has sponsorship ties to PIF going back years. For them to now be trying to stop PIF doing a sponsorship deal with NUFC, a club they now partially own, through the PL is nothing short of ridiculous. They've also been in talks about a potential takeover multiple times in the last decade. Same with Liverpool These last few days have basically all but confirmed the PL was acting on specific instructions of the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool to block the Saudi's takeover of our club, not on moral grounds, but because of a fear of losing out. Though luck lads...
