  1. He's pretty good from what (little, admittedly) I've seen of him in the CL. In those 9 minutes he did have our best chance in that game and produced a decent attempt. Definitely worth a try I would say. Was this the one Butland saved? Was our best effort that night. Aye

    Papiss Cissé

Compares quite favourably with Mitro's 5 in 26. Wikipedia (I know) has his PL record as 36 in 104. Exclude his stormer first half a season when he scored goals like a man possessed four years ago now and that goes down to 23 in 92, or exactly 1:4. It's better than Mitrovic, granted, but Cisse offers very little in general play, arguably less than Mitro who I rate just as little. There's not much in it really, and I think Doumbia would be approximately the same level but at least he offers pace. I would go with whomever appears to have the most confidence that they can get the goals we need and delivers the goods in training. If Cisse is happy, back to fitness and confident he could be that man.

  4. This might go down to the 'keepers having to take one
  5. Well impressed by how clinical PSV is
  6. PSV will lose on pens no doubt. Still kudos for even getting this far.
  7. According to physioroom Cisse (slight doubt), Colo (slight doubt), Tiote (very doubtful), Mbemba and Mbambu (doubtful) could all be back for the Sunderland game.
  8. So Defoe is worth 2 whole points ?! How did you conclude that from what ON said? He's right like. People on here laughed when the mackems got Defoe for the fee and wages involved, but he's worth his weight in gold for them as his goals are the difference between staying up and going down. Oh how we could do with someone of his ilk right now. I think Rafa's primary focus for the Leicester game was for us to be more solid in defence, but this week everything needs to be focused on devising a coherent attacking game plan for this game and the Norwich away one. Personally, I would go with Doumbia (or Cisse if fit) from the start and work on attacking movement and off the ball runs, and keep Mitro on the bench as a late sub when we have to go gung ho.
