Some of them seem to "switch off" when they step on the pitch.

@Yorkie with the resources at our disposal? Man, when I was a young teen and we were so close to winning it, that was special. To not exhaust our financial might against those who are looking to close up shop and keep the bulk of clubs out of their exclusive party is criminal. I couldn't give a toss how we win, but I want this club back to where we were 20+ years ago, which means outspending other clubs. Who better to spoil the fucking party than us? I just need to see a trophy lifted before I die. Leicester was special, I enjoyed that run as a neutral, but you have to be lying to yourself if you think they way they did it will ever be repeated. Hell yeah it was an example, but the odds and data will always point to resource, capital rich clubs that can field the best product on the pitch, managed by the best and run by top class executives. I totally get where you're coming from, however, Yorkers.

Wasn't sure based off of Demarco's bio.

Mate, Leicester (minus previous anomaly) and West Ham will never win the league(maybe a cup), because these two have gobbled up all the resources. The financial avenues of sponsorship are the only way we're going to be able to fast track club development into the top half. Staveley mentioned we want to be challenging in 5 years, it'll be 10 years on before that happens if we're handicapped on capital we can generate. Fuck that.

https://www.blackstonechambers.com/barristers/nick-de-marco/ Bet he's still on retainer in anticipation of this bullshit.

Can you imagine Bruce getting a data analysis debriefing from Leyland? Fucking hell.
-
what would have been celebrated under Ashley is now met with recourse and litigation. Fucking get in! I will forgo any gifts, donate more to charity than I have this year to stay in the league and continue to be a menace to the cunts in the so called "big 6". Fuck them.

There will be strategy in place, followed by process and calculated decision making. I have no worries or am concerned about our present and future corporate structure. The product on the pitch is of concern, however.

I'm thinking it's more around Money Laundering, Sportswashing, Brand Association (Sponsorship is aligned to PL brand values, etc), but the wording of the statement is highly ambiguous which can work both sides of the equation. Honestly, this feels like the PL serving up platitudes to placate the ruling elite, us and clubs with less financial muscle. Smart money is on the wealthy clubs finding workarounds, other streams of revenue and this only really changes things for clubs with less operating budgets like others have mentioned.

Me too, goes to show how much of an impact he had.

Us Watford Norwich Burnley Southampton Leeds Relegation league and I highly doubt Leeds are anywhere near as bad as us. Watford play decent stuff and are capable of an upset, same with Leeds. I've not seen that type of character in our squad at all this season. Our only saving grace is we can outspend each of these teams to finish above them, but I'm not convinced that's the best long term move for this club. I suppose that leaves the loan market, splash on wages and see where the fuck that leaves us come May. Also, I absolutely think Howe is the manager that can keep us up, he did it with Bournemouth and didn't have the resources (money available) we do currently.

Reminds me of a present day Stephen Ireland.

Just googled. He's got nothing on my boy Kyle Kuzma:

Still chuckling at that and then you see empty seats and a mostly quiet stadium, coupled with their recent success makes it hard not to hate on them. (ridiculously envious of them as a club)
-
I agree some criticism is warranted, but you went a bit too deep.
-
Didn't think it would be easy, but thought we could get something coming off a win, them having fucking COVID and put out of the waffa cup on Thursday. NUFC enters the chat......boom, 4-0 confidence booster at a stroll.
-
Come on, man. Let him get some of his preferred players in before you start spouting this nonsense.
-
Yeah, Rafa did wonders with him, the lad is nowhere near as good as he's previously been for us and arguably when we need him most.
-
There's no unity on the pitch, but I suppose compounding issues publicly could make matters worse. I guess I'm so used to problem identification leading to better outcomes, it'd be refreshing to hear coming from our new manager. To me, Howe is our future, I couldn't give a toss about our current 11 outside of a few players we can build around. Anyways, the rest of the month is going to be grim and I hope some of the positivity is still intact for the winnable games. Of course when opportunity comes our way, the product on the field is complete shite and devoid of any sort of promise.
-
Why not? Have some honest constructive criticism publicly. Not lambasting players who are clearly not good enough. Anyways, could just be Ryder's choice quotes, but I'd rather see something like "I expected more effort and adoption of systems we've been working on in training, that didn't happen today and I will revaluate our approach based on todays result".
-
Zero fluidity. Out of the teams going down, we look the worst (maybe Burnley) at developing any sort of flow moving forward. No positional awareness at all.
-
That's what frustrates me the most with these players. They seem complacent and rather okay with being so. Fuck that, show some fight.
-
The threat part......yeah no. Looking okay, yeah we did until the penalty. Came alive after it to close the half, started the second half "okay" again, then came completely undone the rest of the game. 4-0, Eddie. Have a fucking go at the players for giving up, man. I'm all for positivity, but if you can't isolate weakness, address it and show improvement (even if it's losing while looking better tactically or positionally, I don't care) by saying we were terrible, don't come out with this thinly veiled nonsense, Ed.
