  1. The more i think about it, i'd certainly take Gera on a free. Nobby should officially be a right-back, which will lead us into finding cover for Milner. Gera would be very good cover, imo.
  2. I know mate, it's not very good. Love the bloke to bits and he is a cult hero - but a two year contract smacks of desperation and a major lack of ambition. If he were to be here for this season only, he would be remembered as a bit of a legend and a real fans favourites. Two more years of inevitable mediocrity, with poor, ageing displays and few goals - people probably won't look back so favourably. Which is a real shame.
  3. Different circumstances with Stevenage - they actually wanted to win.

    Kenny Miller

Can't stand Kenny Miller and whenever i've seen him he's been fucking shit.
  5. If we don't beat these then the club wants shutting down.
  6. I love seeing them come up becuase i love watching them go down, so aye - i'd like to see it.
  7. I like Parker, and i wish there was a way of fitting him into the side. But i just don't think there is. You can't drop Emre and you can't drop Butt, and Roeder seems to think that you can't drop Parker, for some reason. Butt and Emre have proved to be the best partnership - with Butt sitting and the little Turk driving forward. That partnership highlights each player's strengths, whereas Parker-Emre highlights each other's weaknesses.
  8. I'm genuinely shocked by the number of people who are selecting Parker-Emre in the middle.
  9. Parma have been absolutely shocking this season.
  10. Sorry... 'Berbatov better than Owen'. That's just... sorry...
  11. I said he didn't have a very good goalscoring record and he'd be a shite signing. Two things which i stand by. He'll be bored with Bolton in 12 months or so.
  12. 1. Thierry Henry - The complete striker. Pace, skill, good finisher, good playmaker, decent with the head, can cross the ball, can take a set piece, drifts out wide, comes deep to play others in yet is in the box seconds later. One of the world's best, without a doubt. 2. Didier Drogba - The best centre-forwards centre-forward in Europe at the moment. Absolutely brilliant in the box. Sublime at running near-post and bulletting a header, and a good all-round finisher. Also has fantastic technique and superb strength. 3. Wayne Rooney - He'll be the best in the world one day. Good strength and a wonderful finisher. He's also got some blistering pace when he gets going - with unbelievable vision. 4. Andrei Shevchenko - One of the world's best finishers. Just hasn't happened for him at Chelsea. 5. Michael Owen - Like the rest, one of the best finishers in the world. I'd even go to the stretch of saying he is the best finisher in the world - atleast he was a couple of years ago. I can't predict what he'll be like when he comes back, though. 6. Robin Van Persie - Another one of those who'll be one of the world's best in a few years to come, in my opinion. Excellent in front of goal but is fantastic off the shoulder. Probably the Premiership's best off-the-shoulder striker at the moment. 7. Nicolas Anelka - His pace and skill is second to none, and he has the ability to score world class goals out of nowhere, Henry-esque. His ability to play teammates in is exceptional and the system Bolton play with just works for him. 8. Obafemi Martins - Possibly the most two-footed striker in the Premiership. His footwork is impeccable in my opinion and his finishing is excellent. He's got a great leap and good strength aswell. His ability to score world class goals is second to none, in my opinion. Something-out-of-nothing. 9. Louis Saha - Another good centre-forward like Saha. Give Saha the ball and he will score. Good goalscorer, prolific with either part of the body. Superb technique about him aswell. 10. Carlos Tevez - We've not seen the best of him and we simply will not at West Ham. But whenever he has played, he has often looked the best player on the park. He can do it in the Premiership because he's got pace that worries defenders and a lot of strength. I hope he moves. Honourable mentions: Dimitar Berbatov, Henrik Larsson, Dirk Kuyt, Darren Bent, Emmanuel Adebayor.
  13. Nope. There due to the versatility and the being-better-than-Bramble-ness.
  14. Was initially expecting nothing more than tenth. I believe that i said 13th on August 31st, a few minutes after we signed Sibierski. I'd be content with a top half finish and given the circumstances, i think 9th would be a creditable position. 9th.
  15. I know he wanted to play, just like Shola wanted to play those extra games before his operation. The manager has to think of the team, not the player. Like i say, any manager in his right mind would have expected a bit of a horror show because the player's mind would surely be elsewhere. Fortunately, we escaped somewhat, even though i think the first goal goes largely down to Babayaro's failings. As atrocious a kick-out it was from Harps, the pass back was poor and the attempt at the challenge was feeble. But - we did escape - but it just surprises me how Roeder, and Babayaro, has the courage to actually start him in such circumstances. Fair play to both of them, i suppose. Espcially Babayaro - condolences to his brother. can't actually bring yourself to say he had a good game can you ?. Stop stereotyping. I never said that. I said previously that i didn't think he had a bad game. However, i do feel he was at fault for the game. I don't mind Babayaro.
  16. I'd rather be pescimistic and not expect him to be back, than be optimistic and be disappointed come May...

    World Cup Bid

    Didn't spot that. I see.
  18. Sicko, you sound like you have some sort of medical knowledge. I have none - yet i still know that Owen will not be back this season. Be realistic. I don't think even Roeder believes he'll have him back this season. Would be great and those pictures are nice to see, but it ain't gonna happen. I'm just looking forward to next season.

    World Cup Bid

What year is the bid for? Isn't is World Cup 2018 we're talking about? In that case... the Olympic Stadium will be available won't it. The huge thing that's being built for 2012? 1. Wembley 2. Olympic Stadium 3. Old Trafford 4. Emirates Stadium 5. New Anfield 6. St James' Park 7. Stamford Bridge 8. Stadium of Light 9. St Mary's Stadium 10. White Hart Lane 11. Villa Park 12. Pride Park They could even stretch to use the Milennium Stadium aswell, but that's doubtful.
