Would lose respect for anyone who'd want to go and be subservient to Levy.
-
It's quite conflicting. The neutral in me wants someone new to win it but the Newcastle fan in me wants no one to win it. Man City basically = no one, so they're the default preference. Villa Forest would be a much more interesting final though.

I'm from a town called Pickering in North Yorkshire and now live in York, but my Dad's family is all Newcastle. He grew up in Jarrow.

Is yesterday really any sort of yardstick re stadium capacity? I wonder how many there wouldn't entertain the thought of going to a game before or since yesterday. I wasn't there so maybe I'm talking shit but it appeared as much/even more about pride in a city and Geordie identity (and to 'be there') than just the football team. I certainly know of a few who were there to revel in it for those reasons. And good for them, it looked magical. Don't get me wrong, the team is the catalyst, and as Newcastle fans we should take immense pride in how Howe et al brought a population together like that. But 100k folks on the Town Moor doesn't mean we should have a 100k capacity stadium.

But this is why my username was originally Yorkie-Geordie! I just wanted to be one.

Yesterday is why I grew up telling all my pals I was from Newcastle even though I wasn't. It's a city to envy.

That's it. I've no beef with them doing something inventive with the stripes but what exactly is that supposed to be? It looks like the Breaking Bad intro with the smoke coming across from the right. Dunno. It's okay, hopefully very unpolished. The template isn't visible so you'd expect so. Mismatched stripes are very weird. It will do. Just the way it is with Adidas.

Feels like we're in heaven with some of the stuff that's going on with the club atm. There's so many amazing people connected with it these days but this lad is very, very special. They just don't make footballers like him. He's not just a brilliant player but an icon whose love for the club matches any idol we've ever had before - and he's from Rio.

What an incredible moment for the city. Been doing Mother's Day stuff today so just catching up. These are images that will last for decades. Just amazing.

So am I. 99.9% of all fixtures in this year's competition gets won by that goal. We were good in the first half, poor in the second, but got the late winner. Then the fun police. To say we got what we deserved is very harsh.
-
We fucking won.

I hope everyone that's taking in any part of the celebration today has a fantastic time. It's an epic occasion for a wonderful city and people that are so deserving of it all.
-
Still deeply frustrated about the FA Cup. Such a bullshit finicky call which prevented us from progressing and I hate losing to that poxy club. Really hope they don't win it.

That kit with the white shorts and red numbers was filthy.

Are there some good memories of him as manager or

If there was a statue of Keegan, what image would it be based on? (I've been thinking the same for Howe, incidentally; I think maybe the bit where he's got two hands on the cup facing the Wembo crowd).
-
I'd like to see him wearing the number 9, like, definitely. I'd like for that to still be an important piece of club culture and he would wear it very well. Sadly I don't think he gives a fuck about that particular tradition.
-
Not sure about Kean. His goalscoring record aside from this season has been terrible.
-
It's a brilliant game. Reds Blues doesn't always have to be real football...
-
Amateur. It's all about flicking ffs.
-
Absolutely. Goes without saying that we'll have to recruit at the Tonali level again and keep everyone else but the hints are that we have the flexibility to do that.
