  1. The system did something ours hasn't done since 1969, it delivered a trophy. Ramos is still a clueless bufoon. You're basing your opinion of his managerial skills entirely on the seven or so games played so far this season then I take it? Where you take it is not my concern. That a yes then? No. I said he'd fail in the Ramos thread as I got wind of the fact that they were going to sell their best 2 strikers from under his nose and replace them with shit. A manager who won't stand upto that or pays lip service to a system that has effectively destroyed Spurs hopes for a good season is a bufoon or has no self respect. That's the difference between him and Keegan I guess. That and winning half a dozen trophies. Helping him now aren' t they.
  2. Have to say that Levy is quite shrewd. But they needed to hold onto one of those two big sales for at least one transitional season. And where is their NEW DM?? A problem position for them lately.
  3. Partly agree, but they've also bought a lot of iffy players who are untried in the PL for a lot of money. The problem with spurs is that they sold Robbie Keane - end of story. I agree. When we look back at this time I think people will be genuinely shocked how badly Spurs blew their position which Jol (wildly underrated) had built. The implosion at Spurs makes us look like Toy story.

  8. I suppose the system that deliver the mighty Ramos is foolproof?
  9. OK, if you say so. and the alternative is? Oh, he Soooo upset, he just HAS to sell the club... Well he has to if he can make a massive profit that is. If not he'll bravely struggle on like the hero he is, but he's so upset he just wont be able to spend any of the 3 year season ticket sales or increased TV money. Sorry about that. He can't stand with the away fans anymore! What else can he do? ITS ALL OUR FAULT! LOOK AT WHAT WE'VE DONE!!! YOu're right btw. I maintain if he'd seen the debt early enough he wouldn't have purchased the club.
  10. Basically if the fat cunt had known about the debt he probably wouldn't have bought the club. The rest is void.
  11. So you know that he had no intention of spending? Serious question bytheway becasue I've heard alot of of people stating Ashley's intentions and his real agenda but none seem keen to share any "inside information" that they know i dont, with me., or with anyone for that matter. Does anyone know how what was going on with KEegan affected his transfer plans? How many players did Keegan turn etc etc...? Im seriously keen on knowing becasue it seems to me that ALOT of people are basing DEFINITIVe opinions on the absolute bare minimum. As for the squad being shit - i dont get it, was it shit when we were drawing at old trafford? We have a good squad - we need a good manager to put things back on track. We are short of numbers and NO ONE outside the club knows the reason for this - but for some reason, seemingly logical and articultaed people are losing their minds over this. He's shown absolutely no evidence of being willing to spend has he? Either with the manager he inherited or the one he appointed. Why have we spent so little under him? He didn't do his research when he bought the club is where it started to go wrong and I think he had some delusion about making it profitable quickly, which as we all know is almost impossible in football if you really want to compete.
  12. I don't think many have loyalties above the club as a whole tbf. I think all Skirge/cp's point is that where we don't know the facts, one is forced to ask who they trust on gut instinct and past experience alone. Keegan has surely done much more for this club than Ashley has, and so many retain the view that the former is the one they choose to trust and therefore back. This may seem daft to some, but it doesn't to me. This.
  13. Do you? You think that Newcastle United losing £9m would be a good thing? You should support the club, not the ex-manager. Just my opinion though. i support the ex manager more than the current owner, its called loyalty. Ashley won't pay the £9m, NUFC will. Still, Milner's sale should cover it easy enough. Isn't the club now in private ownership?
  14. Crumpy Gunt seems to have a similar approach but I'm not really too sure if it's too far from what they're really thinking in any case. Personally I don't like either attitude towards Keegan, whether it's belittling his past service to this club (which is massive and unrivalled) or believing he is infallible or incapable of putting himself first before the club. It's perfectly possible, of course, to give due credit to what he did for the club in the past, whilst acknowledging his faults at the same time. He was the right man for the job in 1992, and the wrong man in 2008. Funny because he very much felt like the right man for the job as we were thrashing Spurs away 4-1 or drawing 1-1 at Old Trafford. People seem unable to or willing to concede that while walking out hasn't helped matters which I agree with by the way, the people really at fault are those that caused him to take such action and are therefore the wrong people for this club. Do you know exactly what happened behind the scenes at NUFC this summer? Its simple, you appoint a manager and you back that man 100%. They didn't so are at fault. I don't really care about the details. All I know is a very good manager who had the team going in the right direction and enjoyed the rare unanimous backing of fans (a crucial ingredient here at Newcastle) didn't get the support his position as manager demanded for reasons yes we can only really speculate on but still, have proved very costly for this club. KK would walk 10 times out of 10 if not backed 100% or if undermined which has obviously happened for him to quit a job no-one can deny he obviously loved doing. Any manager worth their salt would walk. Fergie would be out the door tomorrow if Man Utd sold Ronaldo behind his back or signed a player without consulting him. Wenger too. Most would. Regardless of KK walking, the people who run our club haven't done anything that suggests they are the right people for the club, before and since. Prior to KK being apointed, the Ashley enjoyed what I'd call good will from fans which meant he didn't really have to do anything of note to have our support and that's exactly what he did - nothing of note. When he brought KK back it was something of note. It showed ambition and a sense of wanting what we want but he didn't back it up resulting in his moment of glory if you like proving to be nothing but an empty gesture. If Ashley were the right man for this club he'd have resolved this a long time ago now and KK would still be our manager. All KK asked for was to be backed which I think he had a damn right to not only expect but demand as the manager, a good manager, proving himself out on the pitch where it matters. For whatever reason which I have said I don't really care about (the details), Ashley did not support the man he appointed 100% and I find that incomprehensible especially factoring the total none entities that survived. As far as I'm concerned if he rates Wise more important to his club than KK then why the f*** didn't he make Wise manager before he went for KK. The answer, he doesn't have a clue. Stick to selling cheap clobber Mike. Btw not backing your manager, the man you appoint, its like us not getting behind the team despite claiming to be fans of the club. Not on. Very well said and i agree entirely . This sums up my feelings too. This 'system' has done fuck all for the club. I know what KK's done however, as a player and a manager. ...and what a system..
  15. Mainly cause it looks like they aren't getting the new stadium that was promised and part of the deal of the takeover.
  16. How very prescient of you Parky. Well the bit about the start of a comedown anyway. Oh, and we since found out the answer to the second question: No. I'm very underrated.
  17. He wears his sunglasses on his head. Case closed.
  18. What's to celebrate? I'm delighted Jiminez has gone because he was part of a failed recruitment regime, Wise should have been sacked on September 2nd too. Really can't wait to see the back of him. Be careful what you wish for. You may have cause to look back in a few months and be thinking that Ashley's tenure here was a golden era of enlightenment and good management by comparison with what could be around the corner. I'm with Platini on the state of English football - if we get sold to another foreign interest group that's another nail in the coffin of English football, never mind just NUFC. Ah, but...let's celebrate it anyway, eh? Never look back at the future. Have I taught you nothing!?
