Strikers still are the weakest part of the team by far! All of our forwards are way too similar in style(Shola, Ba, Best, Ranger)...immobile, slow and lazy. Is it really that hard to see what's missing out there? Spend some money on a fast striker with a proven goal scoring record but not neccesarily in the Premier League or any other top flight league. Ishmael Miller worth a try? Wouldn't cost a fortune either... So much to pick apart from that post I am sure people see 'tall, black' and conclude 'slow, lazy and immobile' Well...Miller is tall and black as well and fast He's also f***ing s***. And just signed for Forest.

I think he's a good target man. Keeps possession well and has the ability to direct his headers towards team mates rather than just nod it forward. His inability to stay onside and lack of pace means he'll never be anything else than decent, but good back up and a decent alternative when we need it.

He's doing well. He has the right ideas and he works under the biggest fuck ups in football. Happy with him right now.

This is also where his actual ambition comes in. If we spend on a striker and a left-back in the coming days, we have a squad that will be very capable of finishing top 10 and maybe threaten 7th. If we don't, I can see us having a season very similar to last one. Thing is, Ashley would be happy with that. He only cares about the club maintaining it's Premiership status while asset stripping/trimming of wage bill. Not sure we'll see any players coming in this week.
