Jonas and Obertan providing all dem crosses

We're better at attacking now, etc etc And holy shit how did we survive that
-
Lol, all them set penises
-
How much is it going to take for Pardew to get the sack
-
Its annoying how much better we are than Norwich individually, yet we're the ones getting hammered.

Obertan 1.0 is back

I don't think we're doing too horribly. Hoofball is conspicuously missing today (sans a few desperation hoofs from Willo) and although we still look shit when it comes to holding on to the ball, we've done far worse in the past. I don't think Pardew necessarily needs to make a sub right now, Cabaye is an option but he doesn't look like that much of an impact sub.

Truth is, Willo isn't nearly as bad a defender as some of us think. Just remember Boumsong and Bramble man. Both of whom are better than him. I'll take Willo's consistent hoofing over either of them air kicking a clearance in the box, any day. Aye because the rest of Willo's game is so polished. He's an accident waiting to happen. At least Bramble looked good for 88 minutes of the game. Williamson makes just as many mistakes. Bramble could actually pass not just hoof the ball in hope. There is little logic in the mind of Williamson. His job is to keep the ball away from our net so thats what he does, head it, hoof it, slice it. He plays at a school boy level of mentality. "Get it out". No thinking about where he is hoofing it, no thought as to whether he could bring it down and pass it easily to someone around him. f***ing dreadful excuse for a defender now. Spot on about being an accident waiting to happen too. Every time he comes against someone faster than him, which is always, he immediately shirt pulls. It has cost us in the past, it will again. That's the thing though, you could count on him giving a goal or two away within the other 2 minutes of the game.

Yes he is, but the other two are walking train wrecks by comparison. Bramble's literally better in every sense. There's not one thing Williamson does better. Bramble is a better footballer, but if he had Williamson's brains he'd be starting for England regularly right now.

Jonas looks 3 years younger today

The way we are set up we will never play free flowing, passing football. That's the point. And in the form we are in it would be the wrong approach to even try that. Meh, I'm alright with what we're serving up so far, have seen worse. At least it isn't continuous hoofball.

This feels exactly like Souness all over again

The main difference between this season and 2009 is that we actually have a decent team this season once everyone is fit.
-
1. Set up defensive 2. Concede two goals by half time 3. Send out Marveaux on the 70th minute, but hoof ball over his head anyway 4. GET SACKED YOU CUNT

I don't think I've ever seen a team in the PL _choose_ to play with a back 3, would love to see us try it... if we had the personnel for it anyway (us having 3 good and healthy centerbacks, haha). Wigan say "hi". Oh My bad then, I thought they played with a traditional 4 most of the time.

Taking Shola off would mean no more hoofball, which was obviously unacceptable.
-
I disagree, Ranger should have replaced Shola and gone to the right to allow Cisse to go central. I'm no fan of Obertan but taking him off was criminal. Or Sammy, who was pretty good on the right.

He's got no left foot to make that square pass. He can make passes with his left easily. Crossing is another matter but I have seen him use his left to pass instinctively. Far more likely that he thought he was going to score. Wasn't impossible to make that pass with his right either. He started out as a striker and it sometimes shows, I guess.
