    Alan Pardew

Some of that has to be attributed to us being massively lucky, though (dodgy ref decisions in our favour, etc). Pardew was basically playing the same system Hughton had setup when he took over in any case and only started changing it this season, so Hughton does deserve a little more credit for handing Pardew a team that was basically good enough to take care of itself. Also I think Enrique would have stayed if Hughton stayed.
  2. To me, its because he looks a lot like a massive dickbag I know. I'd love to sock either one of them in the face.
  3. I don't understand where this "Jonas will play badly if he plays on the right" view comes from. I remember seeing him start on the right.... twice? He did pretty well in at least one of those appearances, vaguely remember the second appearance being a bit shit but it wasn't much worse than his usual performances at the time.
  4. You have to be a special type of footballer to play for Liverpool. You have to accept that if you're away on club business then you're more than likely going home to an empty house. No other set of players have to be able to handle that on such a scale. He's gotten two assists for them already, can't remember many of his crosses getting converted when he played for us. *annoyed* Not so annoying for my FF team though.
  5. That, not sure if it was really a goalkeeping mistake. Krul would still have done better
  6. Always thought he was a shit signing, though a strong partner might help if Verm was fit then he'd cover Mertesackers more glaring weaknesses He reminds me of a more confident (or deluded?) version of Williamson.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

We could play a lopsided 4-2-2-2 Maybe a 4-2-3-1 with Jonas, Ben Arfa and Best behind Ba? I still don't think we'll see Ben Arfa starting next week tbh.
  8. Not quite a tap in as he had to finish it Sort of, for the chance he missed anyway.

I really, really hope you're right. But from what we've seen there's absolutely no evidence for that.

I don't remember the Alan Smith thing... Well, he played him against WBA <_< Anyone who has followed us wouldn't let Alan Smith anywhere near the god damn stadium never mind the pitch. Hughton played Smith in more league games than Pardew did last season. There was no 'Smith thing' at all. To be fair to Hughton, Smith did _incredibly_ well against Aston Villa in the 6-0. But whatever, I'll concede that Still can't deny that he fucking loves Loven for some reason.

Can't understand why he has such a hard on for our shittest players. Alan Smith last season (thank god he got over him), now Loven this season, who has pointlessly been on every bench we've fielded this season.
  13. Saylor didn't have the best of games today imo, blocks aside at least. Gave the ball away a bit cheaply at times and on any other day, would have conceded a pen. Then again, given the pressure we were under, losing the ball every now and then was inevitable.
  14. If it were a game between two neighbourhood teams it would have been <_<
  15. Because it doesn't make sense if we asked HBA to tackle. I understand Pardew's approach and to be defensive it's correct to bring in Lovenkrands and Guthrie. My question is just WHY WE HAVE TO BE THAT DEFENSIVE FFS. Why, because of the amazing tackles Loven puts in every game? <_< Having Loven on made us play with 10 men for all purposes and intents.
  16. Fair scores. Would be tempted to give Colo and Saylor an extra 1 for some of the last ditch tackles they put in mind Colo did put us in a lot of trouble at one point, so nah. Best probably deserves another point for sheer effort.
  17. Question is should Santon be replacing Raylor or Simpson? On current form I'm tempted to say Simpson, dear lord that was horrible. Of course none of that will happen with Pardew's love in with our shit players.
  18. You know well enough that this isn't the last time we're going to see them playing for us
  19. Guthrie isn't that bad, but he should have been coming on instead of Loven anyway.
