Oh ffs, two of my fantasy prem players sent off now.

Not sure where to begin with your post 1) I gave reasons that may hinder Carroll's improvement, that's not to say that he won't improve for sure but the odds are not looking good for him (at the moment). 2) Never said Best is a complete striker, I said Best is the "more" complete striker (relative), not sure what's the diff between "more complete" and "better rounded" the way you put it. 3) As far comparing goals based on how regularly they play, that's exactly what goal/minutes ratio is, it takes into account the minutes that each player plays. 1) Fine, whatever. 2) "More complete" implies that he's good at everything, which he isn't "Better rounded" on the other hand means he's limited, but none of his flaws are immensely glaring ones. 3) You do understand that footballers aren't simple probability-based machines, don't you? By playing regularly, I mean letting a player have a long enough run in the team to get his rhythm going.

I don't think people would be saying that if that late-ish cross of his got turned in. <.< We were lucky that McLeish took that long to realise how much more effective Zoggy would be against Raylor instead of Simpson.

Now for James Perch to pull a total 180 and leave Hughton with a 100% transfer record. <____________<

So Carroll is less sure to improve than Best? Best isn't a "complete striker" as much as we'd like to believe it, just better rounded. In terms of how much each player is likely to influence a game, Carroll wins it by a mile. Re: poll, if both players played as regularly as each other, Carroll.

Quite, when he's had to play LB and LW all game long. Guffaw. He has *never* been able to cross the ball. It's just not a part of his game. No it isn't, but he occasionally knocks in a good cross and we've scored from a few of those too. Its just a lot harder to look good in the attacking sense when he has to spend so much effort on defensive work.

He isn't a bad signing at all, but Pardew needs to stop starting him. He just isn't better than Marveaux.

Reminds me of that FM player who had shit stats who would score all the time anyway. Orri Freyr something? *orri freyr oskarsson

He seems to be the AM we've been missing to fill the gap between Cabaye/Tiote and the strikers. Cover for Ben Arfa then?

No, Alan Smith is just that bad One day he'll just chest the ball down in our box and volley one in, instead of making any pretense of playing for our side.

Aye those two professional games as a defender are more than enough experience to be thrown into a regular PL slot. So should Alan Smith start ahead of Sammy? If you are going to play Sammy as a holding midfielder then yes, if you dont understand the concept of positions in football then no. Uhh, I'd rather play Sammy as a holding midfielder over Alan Smith. Well then thank god we dont have a manager that thick I'd also rather play a training cone over Alan Smith to be fair.
