  1. yes he was fmous and that was one of the reasons as well as being good at Monaco and playing in France 98
  2. Was Thierry Henry famous before he signed for Arsena|? He imo was great at Monaco, having great run in the uefa cup, going out 3-2 on agg to inter in the semis in 97, and then played in World Cup 98 in France, France winning the competition before Juve buying him for £10.7m in 98 He signed for Arseanl in 99 for £11m
  3. what is your motivation for saying its not?
  4. Our reserve away game with Sheffield United due to be played at Chesterfield's Saltergate ground tonight (Tuesday 12th) has been postponed. We will now face the Blades at the same location on Tuesday March 27th, 2007 - just over a week after we are due to play them on Tyneside.

    Butt Out?

http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/chroniclelive/ Newcastle United were left sweating on yet another problem today after their key midfielder Nicky Butt was sent home from the training ground by the club's doctor suffering from a virus. It's the last thing Glenn Roeder wanted on the eve of tomorrow's visit to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea - and on the eve of his 51st birthday. But as ever Roeder remained upbeat, saying: "We are hoping by packing Nicky off home to recover he could still be with us on our plane to London tomororw morning. "It seems he has a virus and a heavy cold, and to tell the truth he didn't look too good. "But knowing the sort of person Nicky Butt is, if there is any chance of him playing then he will be out there against Chelsea tomorrow night." Of course, there are a lot of United players who will not be at Stamford Bridge, and these days it is easier to say who is fit rather than those who are not as far as United are concerned. Roeder, who is waiting for results of the scans on Emre's ankle and Nobby Solano's groin, will not have any of his walking wounded back tomorrow, apart from possibly the admirable Antoine Sibierski. Two players who will not be making the trip to West London are former Chelsea midfielder Scott Parker and Kieron Dyer, although both have now returned to full training with the chance the key pair will be involved against Watford at St James' Park on Saturday. Roeder added today: "Kieron had that terrible gash on his leg after he collided with hoardings behind the goal in our match against Portsmouth and we had to let what was a really nasty wound heal. "He is now back in full training but tomorrow's game will come too early for him because he needs a full week of training. "As far as Scott Parker is concerned, he is now back with us after he pulled a muscle in his back, and while it is unlikely he will be ready for Chelsea, we are pushing hard to get him fit for Watford on Saturday." So while Damien Duff is also back in training, of the three former Chelsea players who are now with United, it looks as though only one of them - Celestine Babayaro - will play on his old stamping ground. However, in an ideal world Roeder would have preferred Babayaro to have a rest tomorrow and avoid having to play four games in 10 days after being out of action with a groin injury for over a month. But it's not an ideal world for United these days, and it hard to see how Reoder can stick to his original plan by giving Babayaro any sort of break. In the meantime Chelsea, of course, are at St James' Park a week tomorrow in the quarter-final of the Carling Cup and, as reported in The Chronicle last night, Duff has rather optimistically pencilled in that game for his return after his cartilage operation. One player who will miss both games is Chelsea's England midfielder Joe Cole and this will upset the Cockney kid because he is an unashamed fan of Roeder, who he calls his mentor. And United certainly would not mind if reports coming out of Stamford Bridge that Chelsea's in-form striker Didier Drogba is doubtful for tomorrow night with hamstring trouble prove correct.

  7. no but does that make it racist? you don't go up to an english person and say hello english or to a white man and say hello white man or a black man and say hello black man, just as you wouldn't go up to a person from pakistan and say hello paki or hello pakistani, doesn't make it racist
  8. The word 'just' makes it racist. However, Brit(ain) Scot(land) Paki(stan) means that it shouldnt have negative connotations. Unless 'Brit' is offensive. how does the word just make it offensive? i don't understand why everyone gets so defensive about things like this when people sing the fulwell end...do people start huge threads about it? no-one sang pakis are cunts which would be racist, and which i would totally disagree with
  9. i don't think its racist, but wouldn't neccesarily join in

He said "the gap is now 8 points, after Wednesday it will be 5"
  13. nufc.com match report Oba's Rovers romp Blackburn 1 Newcastle 3 Two goals from Obafemi Martins and one from Steven Taylor made it three straight Premiership wins and eight games unbeaten at Ewood Park. However, the three precious Premiership points came at a cost as three more key players limped off injured. Emre, Nobby Solano, Antoine Sibierski all appeared to hobble off with Emre in particular looking to have sustained a nasty ankle injury. Two goals in five first-half minutes set us up for victory and when Stephane Henchoz was red-carded before the break it looked all over. But a spectacular goal after the break from former Toon-target Morten Gamst Pedersen made it a nervy second half until Martins wrapped up the points in injury time. The win took us above Rovers into 14th and with West Ham heading for defeat at the Reebok, we have put five points between us and the bottom three. Full match report to follow. Team: Given, Solano (Rossi 67), Ramage, Taylor, Babayaro,Milner, Butt, Emre (Pattison 54), N'Zogbia, Martins,Sibierski (Huntington 86). Subs n/u: Srnicek, Luque. Booked: Babayaro, N'Zogbia. Goals: Martins 31,90, Taylor 35. Blackburn: Friedel, Neill, Ooijer, Henchoz, Gray,Bentley (Todd 46), Savage, Kerimoglu, Pedersen,Nonda (Derbyshire 46), McCarthy. Subs n/u: Brown, Mokoena, Peter. Sent Off: Henchoz (40). Booked: McCarthy. Goals: Pedersen 47. Crowd: 19,225 Referee: Dermot Gallagher (Oxfordshire).
  14. They have a decent league position and have just beaten a side who are playing woefully. They are in no position to gloat, just in a better position than us. Was just pointing out that we dismantled Charlton 5-1 thus our game being shown on football first. Did not gloat in the slightest, besides your lot won as well. Really aint no point turning this into a spurs vs newcastle argument. go and talk to your own fans if you have any

  22. been punching women again and been to court, thats about it, anyway best game i saw Martins in was West Ham away, him and Duff upfront were unstoppable with their pace, hopefully will be the same with Owen
  23. WHY? fuckin Charlton, fuckin shit because we dismantled them and made them look division 3 class. Thats because they are division three class unlike blackburn who you failed to beat away. Piss off. I wouldn't throw those sort of stones tbh! Sorry, i just don't understand why they don't go and wank over spurs on their own forums. I don't mind having the oppositions view but between him and jols wankfests it starts to grind especially when i see threads about spurs. both absolute tossers so wankfest fits the bill perfectly
