  1. After considerable squad strengthening in the early part of the 2005-06 season, which included the signings of Edgar Davids and Jermaine Jenas, he found himself out of action, and moved for a season-long loan to Norwich City in the hope of winning them promotion back to the Premiership. However his time at Norwich City was cut short due to injury and he returned to Tottenham Hotspur on 31 October 2005. New manager Phil Parkinson made Marney his second signing for Hull City on the 14 July 2006, for an undisclosed fee. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dean_Marney_(footballer)
  2. Presumably why he's been offered a new contract on a lot more. how do you know he's been offered more? How do you know he's on £9,000? ITK and if you read the article it also says "Abdoulaye Faye is picking up £30,000 a week after joining United last week. Yet at the moment, Taylor’s basic wage in his current deal, which runs until June 2009, is less than a third of that."
  3. Presumably why he's been offered a new contract on a lot more. how do you know he's been offered more? There wouldn't be much point in offering a new 5 year contract otherwise would there? of course there would, to stop him from going on a free

  10. I was thinking of this very similar chant yesterday whilst listening to (I think) the Arsenal fans chanting; Cacapa, wooooaaaahhhhh, Cacapa, wooooaaaahhhhh, He comes from Brazil, And he is f****** brill! Like yours though. The new Geremi song uses that tune: Geremi wooooaaaahhhhh Geremi wooooaaaahhhhh, He comes from Cameroon And he's the captain of the toon! am i the only one that thinks of Pearl Jam's 'Jeremy' every time i hear Geremi's name.. probably am tbh Pearl Jam?
  11. you're saying thats a good thing?
  12. This is what i was getting at. I only care about Newcastle.
  13. why do you support Newcastle? because i feel i 'belong' there, whereas england as a whole has much less feeling for me So you come from Newcastle? And from England? yes and you ARE aware that Newcastle (where you feel you belong) is IN England*? * Although, granted, if you stand outside the Glendale and watch the people walking up through the underpass, you'd be forgiven for being confused about that. England represents the whole of England, Newcastle represents the place i love

  16. No offence, but that post is fucking ridiculous. a) Newcastle and England - It's not a case of one or the other. You don't have to hate England because you support Newcastle b) Now there is a slight chance i'm wrong, but i'm 99.9% certain that if England won the world cup you'd have flags up in your window and be out partying with the rest of the nation. So why do you hate the country that you are from? do we have a biter? being serious - the point is that i care much more about Newcastle than i do about England, England winning a game means nothing to me, whereas a Newcastle game means everything, no where did i say i hate england
