Very different set of circumstances, and one which the club said after, a position we wouldn’t put ourselves in again.

If a club waits until the last few days to do business, it’s usually a sign of desperation.

It’s not a bad deal, but if we are spending money on another position and not strengthening RW it’s a little frustrating.

He wasn’t helped by Howe yesterday starting him up front in a 442 in fairness.

Add those two to the majority of prem teams and it would be their weakest position. Both are that poor imo.

Another hindsight question then, if we fail to bring in a RW, would people have preferred to have cashed in on Gordon or Bruno so we could refresh the squad?
