Which made the MItchell appointment pointless then, pretty sure that was his exact remit when he came in. It certainly wasn't try and spend big on proven players, not based of his interview last year.

I would be surprised tbh, Mitchell was bought in to do the opposite of paying a premium for targets surely.

He’s probably staying regardless of his feelings/intentions, not sure anyone is in a position to buy him this summer with Liverpool close to agreeing a deal for Ekitike.

Eales shouldn’t be allowed to make any big decisions tbh, he’s apparently leaving imminently.

It’s pretty infuriating how we have arrived here. Winning the cup and the champions league qualification should have provided the momentum for transfers, new sponsorships etc. Instead we send our star player home and have doubts over his future.

It’s not bed wetting to have concerns about the lack of leadership/direction off the pitch imo.

Probably won’t go down well, but going into the summer the shape we have off the pitch is pretty shocking imo.

For the second pre season in a row, everything just seems a bit of a mess of the pitch.
