I get both points of view, my argument about his defensive record is mainly that we all know how shit our defenders are yet our team is also set up in a way that offers them zero protection. I just feel he could set the team up differently in our current situation to offer maximum protection to the defence.

The issue with Welbeck is his fitness and injury problems. A fully fit Welbeck would walk into most bottom half mid table teams ours included.

We obviously aren’t close to appointing him as the athletic article does state we won’t have a new DOF till end of January at the earliest.

I was always slightly wary of the Overmars link tbh, on the outside looking in haven’t Ajax always sold young talent for big money ? I feel like he might be getting credit for something that happens regardless of him.

That’s a generous list tbh, based on current form, I wouldn’t keep Fraser, Willock, Almirón, Murphy or Manquillo.

Have to disagree with the showing enough improvement. We do look much fitter, however we have looked poor or worse in most of the games under Howe. Not laying all the blame at his door for that, it’s mainly down to the squad we have.

Again it was the most concerning thing about his appointment for me, his Bournemouth side had a a terrible record and we have worse defenders than them.
