Seems very unlikely. If I wasn't a Newcastle United supporter I would KNOW it will be approved, it would never occur to me that it wouldn't be approved. That includes if I was a Sunderland FC supporter, I would KNOW it would be approved . . though I would probably continually say the opposite !!! I honestly believe in my mind and heart that it will get approved, the tests will be tightened, and Saudi Arabia will show a heavy handed corrective measure as it relates to piracy in their country. Further, I’d imagine a fuck off offer to bid for PL rights in the future as well. I just think if it was going to be rejected it would have by now, the premier league has know about the piracy issue for a while now, I think they are working with the Saudi to get something out of it.

What would be a wonderful gesture from the new regime is if those folk who gave up their season ticket because of ashley are given priority if they reapplied after he leaves. How would they know Ashley was the reason though ?

If this had failed or was expected to we would have had strong leaks from Ashley’s side by now I think.

Assuming it could have been completed last Wednesday, safe to say this could still be done within the next couple of days as long as whatever this delay is doesn’t stop it.

I don’t get if they where told it could be done last Wednesday how it is still going on though.

He’s saying that because he got into arguments with both and then Delaney threatened him with legal action so he backtracked.

I honestly can’t see how they would pay the deposit and then possibly risk losing it with something out of their control as the length of the premier league checks. It wouldn’t make sense, I assume still that the only thing that can stop this now is the, failing the checks or failing to pay.

One thing I would question is the reporters saying there have been no red flags raised, however those same reports are saying the bien complaint could delay the takeover. Surely that is contradictory either it’s and issue or it isn’t ?
