Edwards seems desperate to keep Moyes name in the frame after the article he wrote at the weekend saying he was the one we wanted and that Moyes wanted to come. The article itself doesn't really say anything we didn't already know, although i would be surprised if Benitez was coming here for face to face talks if all the major issues i.e. being in charge of transfers wasn't already sorted.

I think it's safe to assume the board have written of the Leicester game considering there is now no chance of us have a quality replacement time. The derby game is getting bigger and bigger each day.

I don't know what gives you that impression, it's exactly the reason why it would never happen IMO. I mean that at Real and Inter he never had final say, and I am aware using those two clubs in the same sentence as ours is a it silly, but the point still stands.

If we were somehow able to get Benitez, he would be the best signing/ appointment in our history. It would also mean the whole clubs philosophy/ model would have changed for him to agree to it. Btw I don't think he would be completely against our transfer model to some degree.

How ironic the decision is with them when they should all be going to. We may as well just forfeit Monday's match if McClaren is still in charge, it literally would be a new low for the club.

What about McClaren btw. He must clearly know the club doesn't want him and is possibly talking to other managers, yet he just rocks up at training to coach a bunch of players who also quite clearly don't want him, to prepare us for a game where he will be booed by fans who also don't want him. And I thought Pardew had thick skin.

Some loons on Twitter actually want Pearson in, I'd rather keep McClaren.

Tbh, what's more likely with them in charge, is that nothing has even been happening over the last few days, as in we were not even thinking of sacking him, so why make a statement.
