Wasn't it widely reported in throughout the media last week that Carver was almost certainly in charge for Chelsea and Southampton and any likely appointment would be during two week break? If so the lack of news is hardly surprising.

Looking like a choice between the German Pardew, or the Geordie Pardew

This wouldn't be an issue if say one of De Boer, Garde or Tuchel had signed a contract now to guarantee they take over in summer. But we all know that we will pretend that is what will happen meanwhile they will pray Carver can keep us up (which is by no means a certainty) then hand him the job. Southampton will be my first home game in over a season due to Pardew. It will be my last again if Carver is appointed.

McClaren officially rules himself out. Daily Mail seem to think we will go for Garde.

If we were to wait until the summer to appoint someone like Tuchel or Garde, would they be signing a contract now which doesn't come into effect till the summer? Or would we just be assuming that they would want to sign in the summer and could lose out in the?

Think it's funny that the media seem to forget how much Palace fans hated pardew when he played we them. He would be booed and abused every game until he scored that goal. All of a sudden he is God. And we're the fickle ones.

So according to Ryder 3 names are Eddie Howe Remi Garde and Glen Hoddle. Guessing Carver is another.
