  1. Good point, although the bidders could have told Harris.
  2. Birmingham trying to sign Gareth Bale on loan. Madrid increase their bid for Benzema.
  3. sorry if already posted http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2009/07/01/magpies-takeover-saga-drawing-to-close-61634-24038303/
  4. Source? Good signing if played in his right position. Multiple mutterings down here. Someone apparently to be unveilied tomorrow also, which, being July 1st and free agent day makes me a bit worried about Sol Campbell's future plans. Or Mickey Owen.
  5. Source? Good signing if played in his right position.
  6. Kevin Doyle signs for Wolves £6.5 million.
  7. The reports are still saying that he will be the lead figure of a consortium which would mean he isn't in full control of the club.
  8. Earliest news will be tomorrow if Shearer is going to that meeting in London.
  9. Because he'd prefer Santa Cruz and money is no object? bizarre one, though. don't you agree? adebayor is better than santa cruz, yet martins can be potentially better than them both for a little less. Or he could actually spend the money on someone worth it. No suggestions but with the money City have they could do alot better.
  10. Nope. They are not allowed to have all the games. Someone else will have to bid. LivingTV are front runners. They have had all of them before Setanta so why not now?
  11. Bolton to sign Sean Davis from Pompey on a free. These must be the type of players Megson wanted to make Bolton play attractive football.
  12. Arsenal sign Vermaelen. Fulham close to signing Scharner.
  13. What type of contract will Shearer sign then? Surely he wont be given a a four year deal or whatever until he has actually spoken to whoever our new owners will be?
  14. Yeah, as i understood it the groups were only given access to the data room once they'd proved they had the necessary funds. All 4 groups are studying the books so they must've met the financial criteria Yeah but if they don't have funds to push us on it'll be like buying an AT-AT but having no money left to buy storm troopers It may mean they have set aside a transfer budget already, but if our finances are in such a mess that all there money will be used on our debts, then they will pull out.
  15. There not that far behind Villa and Everton, and they finished higher up than City. These four will be the group outside the top four, just depends on who they sign and if Man City sack Hughes in time for a good manager to have a good affect.
  16. The Journal actually says that the four groups trying to buy us have proved they have the 100 million pound to buy the club, but if our finances are a mess then they dont have the funds to bankroll us.
  17. No great loss, average at best and was awful at Villa park.
  18. This. Why has this "data room" not been opened earlier? Surely it would help the deal move quicker? Because they have set tomorrow as a deadline for interested parties to show they have the money.
  19. David Bentley holding transfer talks with a Spanish club according to SSN.
  20. Probably the most realistic, and a sense of absolute desperation.
  21. Anyone know how long due diligence lasts?
  22. SSN will be going on about Ronaldo for the next few hours so dont expect to much news from newcastle.
  23. Wasnt it just to confirm the interest of that profitable group?
  24. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/8091814.stm Nothing really new although it says Newcastle haven't been contacted yet.
