Can´t fault anything he did bar the offside positions he set himself up in. The one in the first half when Obertan ran with the ball
Seems like we finally have a great partnership up top for the first time since Shearer and Bellamy.
Difference between a win and a loss imo.
Would be great if true, but players always seem to get fit for the match against us, so im not confident until i see the team sheet right before the match.

They have scored some absolute crackers since O´Neill arrived.
Im trying to convince myself that these goals could have been scored no matter who was in charge of them, and without having seen any of their games since he took over bar the first game against Blackburn (where they scored two fantastic goals) I hope their general play is still like it was against them. Once the wondergoals dry up, they will start to fall down the table.
Agree with Goran here. We´ve got a top class striker in, no outgoings of significant note, tried to get a backup CB/RB but will not pay over the odds. Fair enough. Good window. Just shut it now.
One of the best things Sunderland have going for them atm is their energy from what I've seen. Putting Davies and Bridge on the field will eliminate a good part of this. Too bad Bridge deal isn't permanent.
oh, and btw.
"Astute piece of business" by Shepherds standards was to sell Aaron Hughes, a still young and versatile defender, for £1m and sign Craig Moore on a free transfer.
Shepherd "understood" ambition. That´s about it.
Luque transfer being a prime example. Had that been Ashley, we would have got him for what, 2/3 of the price, and on 2/3 of the wages he was offered? That would (at the time we got him) have been a great piece of business.
