  1. Either Newcastle do a Newcastle, Burnley do a Burnley, or it could be that the powers of Newcastle doing a Newcastle and Burnley doing a Burnley nullify themselves in which case it'll end up a bland, boring draw.

    Sean Longstaff

If you compare the best version of Hayden to the worst version of Longstaff then sure. If you mean Hayden would have done a better job for us this seaon than Longstaff has you should just quit having an opinion on anything, ever.
  3. Newcastle version of Chris Wood is back.
  4. Would be pretty funny if they appointed Potter again and he continued more or less where he left off. Would Chelsea buy him for another £20m or whatever it was if he had another good season with Brighton?
  5. Always think of the Olympiacos-Newcastle compilation that started with screenshots from Olympiacos fans on here when I hear Welcome to the Jungle
  6. Seems like a very weak minded person. Great to make things tick and contribute with goals and assists when the team is playing well. Completely anonymous when needed as most. Much like he was for Leicester.
  7. I'd prefer Villa to win, but it's still a bit funny Chelsea will slip against perceived easier opposition.
  8. Pretty sure I've had a world class Columbian talent on every save in the last 3 years on FM named Duran. Only a question of time until he has his breakthrough for Villa.

    Lewis Hall

and his shooting, with both legs.
  10. It's unreasonable to expect that we can retain the services of someone at the level close to our starting keeper, who could in worst (best?) case have to be on the bench for a whole season. Kelleher is a youth academy player from Liverpool. I think they'll struggle to keep him unless they give him more matches going forward with Allison having many years left to play. If we can get someone else in that is notably better than Dubs, that suits our style of play better without impacting the quality of players we need elsewhere then I don't mind obviously. Under our current circumstances, assuming Pope can play something in the region of 85% of our games next season I don't see how it can be a priority at all.
  11. Still maintain he's a perfectly suitable reserve keeper. However, if there's serious concerns about Popes shoulder we should probably look into getting a new keeper in. He's not good enough to play the majority of our games, which I assume he'd do if Popes shoulder went to shit again.

    Alexander Isak

When the first murmurs about prefering Isak to Haaland started coming I found it a bit comical thinking while Isak is great, he isn't quite there and likely never will enter the conversation of being among the 3-4 best strikers in the world. Probably a combination of Isak being in great form while Haaland is in a slump, but now I actually think I've changed my mind and wouldn't swap them. I'll admit I'm proably biased due to being Norwegian.
  13. Sheffield can just leave Arseblaster behind if they want. Canny player.
  14. Hall has an excellent shooting technique, with both legs seemingly.
  15. Playing fairly decent after an iffy start. Someone should tell Gordon that if he cuts inside 10/10 times when Hall comes on the overlap, it won't be a surprise to Sheffield United when he does it the 11th, 12th & 13th time.
  16. Team didnt start very well (albeit only for 4 minutes). Hopefully that was the wake up call they all needed.
  17. I know it's a bit disrespectful to good, professional footballers whom I like, but the day we have a bench without fringe youth players who'd never be close to the first team if not for injuries, two keepers, Krafth, Dummett & Ritchie should be a local flag day tbh.
  18. It's not that uncommon for contracts to be in breach of labor law. Maybe Ashworth thinks he has a good case by having signed up to something that isn't legally enforceable?
  19. Yes I was maybe poorly worded saying "you" when I meant a general you since I saw someone trying to imply it would indicate a professionally run Man Utd which it absolutely wouldn't.
  20. You're kidding yourself if you don't think the vast vast majority of Newcastle fans would laugh their asses off if we got £20m for Ashworth. It would prove that the Man Utd clown show is still very much in play.
  21. Hughes hardly touched him and Longstaff pulled up his leg to fall embarrasingly to the ground. Not enough contact for a free kick or penalty.
  22. He dived. Poorly. Got the correct punishment for it. What's not to understand?
  23. That's a pen 10/10 times if it's literally anyone but Longstaff He is so shit at diving. Glad he got a card.
