Exactly what I was saying for the last few years, how this bloke avoided any criticism until recently still amazes me. His role in the McClaren appointment has cost the club over 100 million, I hope Ashley is happy.
-
I don't think Rafa will stay, someone like Everton will give him a get out, don't blame him at all and leaves with my appreciation for trying, shame it took this clueless ownership too long to make the call.
-
Congratulations to them, the fan base and team and manager don't deserve it but that's life I guess, you don't always get what you deserve.
-
What a stupid appointment, that's not even hindsight talking, most of us saw this coming a mile away. Cost the owner 100million or more, deserved what you get, we the fans are the ones that really suffer though.
-
It doesn't matter, we aren't going to score, even if he added 60 minutes on. Awful performance really against the worst team in the division.
-
Got to hand it to the Mackems, they've come through at the end again, game I didn't think they would get much from, now two relatively comfortable games to get 2pts, it's over, we've deserved our fate tbh.

Sunderland and Mibblesboro in the PL and us in the Sky bet crap, great isn't it
-
Dunno why he persists with Perez either, he's done nothing since the spuds game.
-
You have to score that Mitro, man (
-
That colback miss is gonna bite us in the bum isn't it
-
We somehow get a goal and the win in the 2nd half, Chelsea hang on and I think we are gonna do it, will moive to a 3 on the meter for me But needs to be a whole lot better in the 2nd half.
-
We deserve to go down on this display so far. No good enough right now.
-
This is worrying
-
That's concerning for me. This has draw written all over it right now, that won't be enough for us, even if Sunderland lose today.
-
We need Mitro on, still not sure the reasoning behind Cisse starting other than he thinks Mitro is better coming off the bench.
-
Dreadful gini, dunno why Townsends not taking them
-
Did the villa player just push the ref there ?
-
There's not much space out there for us, we need to be patient here.

Terrifc from Dummet

Lescott looks strong, always seems to play well against us

Looks like they got £141m in debts.. half of it at 7.5% Interest to a Guggenheim Partners company Is that the Owners (Ellis Short's) company ? If so it maybe a similar situation to us, as we have a 125 million or whatever debt to our own owner, it's a bit ludicrous and a to be honest.

Where does this high opinion of themselves come from ? I know they are our rivals but seriously I don't think I am being all that biased when I say I've not come across a more loathsome, ill-educated and immature set of forums posters than theirs. I just clicked on one thread, pretty much sums up the intellect level: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/newcastle-fans-in-my-place-of-employment.1226019/

Only if we beat Villa. Pressure is on us to win that, more than them this weekend to beat Chelsea. It's a shame their game in hand to Everton isnt this midweek instead of next The GD is still handcuffing us, all they need to do to head into the final game with their destiny in their own hands is to win one and draw one or draw two if we fail to beat villa (discounting Norwich, which could be a big mistake) unless we can somehow put 7 or more past Villa. Don't think that's impossible considering the motivation of the teams they have to play. We are still very much outsiders here, Norwich are not dead yet either and they played pretty well at Arsenal. It's going to be a nervy couple of weeks for sure.
