Don't get Teasy started again, he'll tell you we do.
-
He'll probably be back in the prem in a couple of years. That would not surprise me at all. Neither would a loan back to a club like Everton next season.
-
Also, on the site they have a survey. Who is the biggest loser with the arrival of Cabaye? (between Cabaye, Verrati, Motta and Matuidi) 56% voted for Cabaye... He's certainly taking a big risk. As much as I love him I will have a little chuckle if he ends up missing out on the world cup squad due to lack of game time. I'll have a bigger chuckle if he get's cattled in his first game. I don't know I don't hold any bad feelings towards him, he was a huge dick during the summer after the Arsenal bid but he did enough to redeem himself in my eyes this season. He's leaving because this owner has no desire to see us get anywhere higher, is more than happy to accept mediocrity, my anger is directed in his direction here not Cabaye's.

No way he's not going to Brazil, unless he gets an injury, even if he barely plays a game between now and the end of the season.

That makes way much too sense to actually happen. Even if I thought there was a remote chance that they would reinvest the fee received, I doubt there would be that much money available to buy two players. This is how they work. We got 16million for him. Of that 16 million, there would be a loyalty fee payable to Cabs no doubt, maybe agent fees too, so maybe we can drop it down by a couple of million when they factor in other costs involved in the sale for us. Say we agree a deal of 10 million (may be a little low) for cabella in the summer, the signing on fee and agents and other cost could push that close the the 14 million net spend we had available to us ! This is how they do business, we have to work with the money the club generates, so they will at best replace Cabs in the squad with one player, hopefully that player will be of a equivalent or better level.
-
The fee really doesn't matter though, it's irrelevant because we know it won't be reinvested. I didn't care what we got, I just wanted to keep the player.

Be careful what you wish for. We could have a Vincent Tan just as easily as we could get a Sheikh Mansour. I know, but would rather at this stage roll those dice, things at this football club are just so meh right now, we need someone capable of creating a bit of excitement once again,. I totally envy the PSG fan and before him the Man Shitty and Chelsea fans, these owners have taken their dreams for their clubs and made them reality, and we have are far bigger base than all these sides had prior to their takeovers, why can't it happen to us ? And the example with Tan, is kind of two edged, yeah the bloke is mad and I wouldn't want him near our club, but he's taken Cardiff and made them relevant got them into the PL. It's relative success. Unfortunately it's a money oriented business and it's just our sodding luck to have one the the riches people in the UK own us but runs us in the most financially prudent way imaginable because that';s what he gets his kicks from. Unlike other Billionaires that are in this for the fun and prestige.

Looks like they are close to signing yet another player (and yet another I have never heard of before) but this time for real, with a transfer fee being talked about (that put them one up on us of course this season, since we've not bought anyone, guess it's glass houses and throwing stones really). http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25933649

It'll be interesting to see what Pardew's thinking is here. Is he going to go with two up front ? With De Jong basically taking Cabs's spot in the team. Or does he push Remy out wide, with Gouff dropping down to the bench and someone else (hopefully HBA) filling the 10 role ? Or does he just take Shola's spot on the bench with Gouff staying in the team and HBA getting the 10 role ?

Are there any mega rich Arab princes or Russian Oil billionaires or whatever left who might be looking to buy a football club, surely we are an attractive proposition now, just look at our bottom line ?

He's a good young striker, its all gone wrong for him in Germany but even then his goal record isn't bad there. He's scored 6 goals since joining in 2012 !! I supposed compared to Shola that's a fabulous return. Knew this would be the reply.. How can you score goals if you don't play? Those 6 goals are from 23 games (of which 6 were sub appearances), a goal every 3.8 games. Not terrible in Germany for a player not regularly in the side is it? Like I said its all gone wrong for him there, no doubt about that since he's played so few games. But considering that fact his goal record isn't that bad even there. Hmm that's debatable, not terrible I agree but hardly prolific and the fact that his coach doesn't have faith in him scoring on a regular basis so he's not getting picked is even more of a concern. You write this in a way that suggests the German league is tougher than the one he's coming too. I know it's cool to knock the PL, but nowhere in the top leagues do you have a as much competition in games, it's a corny old line but there are no easy games here where strikers can up the goal tally. Obviously we've got to give him a chance, and the fact that Unbelievable rates him is good to hear, since he's probably seen him play a lot more times than anyone else on here. But I can't help feel a little sceptical on this one, in many respects the club's done the right thing with the loan (as long as the option to buy thing is true).
-
Hmmm, scored 37 goals in 97 apps there, that's not ok ?

Well the only thing we really have to go on is that he scored goals for fun in the dutch league. Now it could mean he's another Suarez or Altidore, who knows, I guess that's the reasoning behind the loan but ffs, lets buy our own striker, at the moment we are left with Cisse and Shola (isn't his contract up this year) in the summer
-
Why am I not excited remotely about this. A player who's not deemed good enough for a german club that's not Bayern or Dortmund, on loan, whoopideedoo

Check what you want i'm French and post from France !!! Show respect, i respect everybody here. I'm assuming by the broken English, this one is a real PSG fan. Showing respect is not coming on another club's board and lording it up cos you've took their best player. Anyway where's the lack of respect, not that there is a need for us to show any towards any other club on OUR board of course ? I've only read the last few pages, but it's all about the frustration with our own Billionaire owner and his lack of ambition. It's not about PSG at all, in fact, if Cabaye had to go, I don't think I'm alone in saying that PSG was as good a place as I would have liked him to go, out of our league and less likely to face us anytime soon.
-
We got 50 million or something in the summer from the mega TV deal and didn't buy anyone, not sure why getting less than 20 million now will change this. A progressive, forward thinking club would have a contingency plan already in place should this situation occur, so I'm not go give them any slack in there only being 4 days left of the window to find a replacement, which I'm sure is going to feature in Pardew's next chat to the press.
-
We need to do something about our inability to play well without him in the line up, Pardew needs to have a serious rethink here, because in all likelihood we have 6 months or so to go without his direct replacement being signed. What can he do with what he has ? Does Benny get the call, I doubt it, it's gonna be Shola back in the starting 1, I'm afraid with Anita and Tiote holding down the midfield. At least this frees up some wages for 4 more years of Shola !!

Over to you JFK, lets see what your made of. We know what the answer will be though
-
As far as we as supporters are concerned. Let them continue to bid ridiculously too low, that not even Fat Mike will take the deal, that way we keep our best player, lets face we know that money, whatever we get won't be reinvested, so let his contract run all the way down, far better for us, by which stage he'll be 30 and we may be ready to be replaced anyway.
-
Unfortunately (in this one case of course) Manure aren't raping anyone this season, especially at home. Hoping the is the one occasion they do however.
-
I've never understood why it takes so much time to prepare these bids. How long does it take to write 25 million on a piece of paper and get the office assistant to pop along to the fax machine and press the send button (does anyone still use faxes these days ? ) We are making our bids via Megabid now. We have to create an account, create a pay pal account, verify it, verify the Megabid account, buy the Megabid bidding tokens, make a bid, wait for the clock to start over again, make a counter bid against someone else and wait for the clock to start over, and then finally transfer that money over to the head of the Nigerian lottery in order to release our lottery funds. Aha that explains it then
