Once Man U and Chelsea get their new grounds signed and approved, we'll likely have around 12 months before infrastructure spending is incorporated into PL and UEFA spending limits!
-
Can't see Botman and Lascelles being much use let alone starting till at least the Spring. It takes a long, long time to recover from ACLs, and the history of this injury type suggests these two players will only back up to scratch come the 25/26 season.

Alyson Rudd getting her weekly digs in - reminding us yet again we're a sportswashing project. https://www.thetimes.com/sport/football/article/complaints-about-toon-tax-leave-newcastle-looking-spolit-and-frantic-z9dsxbxdr

Sven Botman: Could Return vs Ipswich (Tindall)
Turnbull2000 replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
So on course then. Some people thought he would be back next month Don't think he'll be sharp enough to be a starter till Feb or March, and even then it'll likely be next season when he's back to normal. -
edit: thought you were referring to land just beyond that empty patch! Can't see the council entertaining the loss of that open land or Leazes Park. Think a new ground will have to be out of town - even then there'll be massive pushback from planners and locals I would think.

Taking the fucking piss. We've been forced to weaken our squad, meanwhile Chelsea will in probability finish above us this season and deprive us of Europe once again.

Why is Paqueta still being allowed to play for West Ham?

Imminent based on absolutely nothing whatsoever. Much like our stadium upgrade and massive new sponsorships have been imminent.
-
If PIF aren't willing to be creative with the rules and increase our revenue substantially, we'll remain around 6-9th permanently. If any one year we happen to make 4th, key players will likely be sold to clubs that regularly qualify.
-
I thought PIF had an interest in Clearlake or some other Chelsea connected organization? It could be possible that PIF are actively supporting Chelsea as well.
-
Yet another what's becoming routine hattrick Some people had Isak as possibly challenging him too.

Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)

Would have transformed our right side this season. No doubt about it. -
Feck sake. Not so much the two weeks (a lot less than I expected), but confirming that he can suffer a tear from so little game time.
-
Had that yer Arsenal c*nts Delighted with that tbh. Can we have an early season Arteta and fan meltdown as well?
-
Palace for 8-10th Or not. But that seems to be the mood, and where the press and other fans seem to have us now.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/zakgarnerpurkis/2024/08/31/the-rigged-system-stopping-newcastle-united-mounting-a-challenge/ Trying not to feel angry about it all. Aston Villa will probably experience similar soon - the rules that the cartel clubs demanded will yank them off their upward trajectory.

Utter shite. It's not so much that I reckon we'll finish around 7-9th that troubles me, but that our ineptness risks the loss of some wonderful players next year who'll view this season as not just standing still, but regressing relative to the competition. Lack of progress on stadium and training ground are also deeply concerning.
-
Think they'll do us over unfortunately.
-
There's probably four players we can discount from being much use this season - Botman, Lascelles, Wilson and Willock. If we lose Isak, Schar, Gordon or Pope for any sustained period, we're deeply in the shit.
