Am I right in thinking he got a decent amount go G/A when playing on the wing when we finished 4th ?
At the back end of the season we qualified for the Champions League he played a lot on the left and he ended up scoring 6 goals and assisting 2 from that position in 15 appearances there in the Premier League.

Now we've pushed Joelinton further forward and we are actually playing someone with more ability on the right the team just functions far better.
I think once Tonali comes back into the team after these adjustments, he is going to look far more effective.

Looks far, far better in his proper position on the wing - especially with Willock behind him. I hope we never see him in midfield again - but I'd start him every week on the wing.
I genuinely don't see how we can move him back in there. He's so much more dangerous roaming from those wide positions.
We're really going to have to figure this thing out, because it will have an effect on what we do in the market as a priority.
Needs a run on that right side to see if it's a viable longer term role.

Unbelievable athlete.
Now that right side is functioning well enough to allow him to overlap, I think the delivery will come.
Had a couple of decent crosses today where no one was there to attack them. I'm sure we'll see further improvement.

Ipswich win is wild. Spurs man.
It's a stinker for Spurs, especially at home, however anytime I watch Ipswich they look pretty decent. Wasn't completely shocked at the result.

Ruud has done so well as interim.
Would be so typical if Amorim comes in and proceeds to struggle.
Here's hoping

Huge, not just the result but the performance.
We've found something with Joelinton back playing in a wide position, allowing the wide CM to overlap. It's linking the midfield and attack and has got Murphy out of the team.
We're seeing Bruno in an advanced position, we saw the second half even before Tonali came on he had Longstaff sitting and Bruno further up.
Buzzing like!!
The tactical tweaks have been on point and the team looks night and day different from how we looked early on this season. So much more balanced and threatening.
Just keep praying the off the field stuff has all settled down and common ground has been found.
It's the only thing that can hold us back going forward.

Looked more than good enough at RW, his versatility is such an advantage. I'm certain he'll be playing CB for us at some point.
He's just so intelligent in his play.
He tucks in and finds spaces and makes things easier for everyone around him.
Ends up giving us an extra man centrally at times, but getting wide at the right times too. Played off of Tino's overlapping runs well too, and even played in Isak at times.
Too good.

The solution to every problem is Joelinton.
Absolute masterclass. Man of the match.
-
Well done Tonali. Closing that space in front of the defence well.
-
We've been brilliant all game man. Despite the referee shenanigans.
Just a reminder these lot beat Liverpool at Anfield.
Made them uncomfortable all game, and the pressure told in the second half.

Yes sir! Let's go home!

YEAH!!!!! LETS GO!!!!
Joelinton the swiss army knife has done it again!!!
Give him that right side!

Oh my God ....
Willock off?!

We're playing against 12 today.
This Anthony Taylor is a nuisance.
Would be unreal if we manage too steal all three points.
-
Joelinton looking just as effective on this right side.
Tucking in and causing problems. Still winning the ball in good areas as usual too.

Would like to see Tonali at DM to try and cope better with the counter.
We really should prioritise this change to shore things up and give us the platform to go and win this now.

And there it is. Well deserved. It's been coming.
Now take a deep breath, relax, more of the same, and let's get all three points.
-
Great interchange between Joelinton and Bruno just then.

If this half goes well with Joelinton on the right it would be so good for us in so many ways.
I'm desperate for it to work out that way.

Yeah, I would say one of the main improvements has been in our build up play and possession.
Joelinton can sometimes get caught on the ball in the centre and be a bit loose with his passing amidst the congestion in there. Willock is much tighter in those spaces having coming through at Arsenal and being used to that more intricate play.
Roaming from out wide Joelinton ends up facing play more often, and can also afford more time on the ball as he has more space.
