Right wing watch:
Yilmaz going up against Spurs for Gala.
Although he's playing more of a right wing back position it looks like.
Osimhen starts too. Will be interesting to see how Spurs manage against him.

Not sure I agree. I hated it at first but as the week go on I’m growing fond of it. Look at the top 8, Liverpool and City aside there’s a great mix of second tier teams.
If the likes of Madrid and PSG don’t make it through the league I’d be amazed if it doesn’t get scrapped next year to protect them.
Yeah, it's been good I think.
More of a challenge for the big teams, as they can't just coast through in some pitiful group. Madrid and Bayern are well down the table at the minute.
Also think there's been more interesting matches to watch with each round of games.

Great result for Brugge.

I love Harvey Barnes but if someone offers us our money back (or close to), we'd be daft not to take the money. Just from the pragmatic/PSR stand point.
Obviously we'd all like to see Murphy or Miggy gone first but we'd actually need offers.
Yeah, I agree.
Think there'd be a decent amount of interest too, as he has done well for us earlier this season and will be at the forefront of people's minds.
Think he's too valuable on the market at the minute to be sat on our bench, with where we are PSR wise.
And unfortunately with his current role coming off the bench, due to how things are shaping up with the first team, his value is more likely to drop going forward.

Right wing watch:
Skov Olsen at Brugge has been really good in Belgium lately. Interested to see how he gets on against Villa tonight.

Hopefully where scouting Nicolas Kuhn from Celtic for the right wing looks exciting, plays with head up, scores goals and can go by players.
Just shows with good scouting and spreading the net wider than the PL you don’t need to spend a fortune.
First I've seen of him yesterday. Looked decent.
Only cost them £3 million in January!

Gyokeres had more goals last season than Isak has in his entire Newcastle career.
He'll fit in well at us.
Thirsty for yet another striker already!
Bet he can't wait for the plethora of chances Rashford and Garnacho will create for him
Poor guy will end up back at Coventry after a year or two.

Really looking forward to the irritating over reaction from Man United fans after this

Haven't ever thought he's a 9. So much pace and skill but needs to play in a different position, deeper and without responsibility. Madrid not the first team to wonder how to get the best out of him. He's all running as fast as he can and hitting the ball as hard as possible, no subtlety. Couldn't say what his best position is but don't think he's a 9. Now i've said this he'll score
He's always done his best on the left I think.
He used to whinge at PSG when Neymar and Messi were there, and they looked to play him up top, and so the idea was abandoned back then.
Was surprised Real Madrid didn't have any clever idea of how to incorporate him with Vini, without him playing as a striker.

Mbappe about as ruthless as a wet sock in front of goal
I think he wants to be out left, getting consistent touches and chances to run at players.
Seems to thrive on that to get him into a rhythm.
Looks a bit lost upfront and much less than threatening.

That Juve pen is a complete farce

That Zhegrova assist for David was insane
Going into the final year of his contract this summer. Wonder if he's on our radar.

Fluke finish or has Gyokeres meant that
I think he's looking to clip it over the keeper like that.
Not the cleanest connection, but I think that was the finish he was looking for.
-
That's the Gyokeres you expect to see.
What a time this guy has been having in Portugal.
-
Jonathan David at it again. A few on here don't rate him, but he just keeps scoring!
We won't have a chance of getting this guy on a free anymore I don't think.
-
Malick Thiaw scores.
Real Madrid with a poor start again.
-
Oh wow ... that is shocking from Gyokeres!

It would be amusing if Sporting get battered tonight.
All the Man Utd fans will be so rattled and start trying to rationalise it all

My understanding is that Amorim wanted more control on transfers. Arne Slott official title is head coach of Liverpool and not manager.
As long as Edwards is at Liverpool, we will not be letting managers dictate transfers. We will see how that experiment shapes up.
Yeah, now you mention it, I remember hearing this at the time.
So is he going to be manager with more control at Man Utd then?
