It's a poor start from Tonali. Should have just passed that to Miley.
-
Can see Tonali is used to a much slower tempo of play. The adjustment will come though.
-
That pass from Hall ... yes, I like that a lot.
-
Livramento, Hall and Miley showing composure and maturity in their play already. Very nice to see.

And Miley.
Can't say I'm looking forward to seeing Dummett though.
Yes, of course! Him too.
Think it's good to see the whole defence get a full rest.
For now the squad is still thin in some areas, and so just one of those things.
We need to take full advantage of upcoming Premier League games and so need to rotate guys.
Champions League came earlier for us than expected and so this is just the consequence of that for now.
-
Looking forward to seeing Livramento and Hall, as well as Tonali in that 6 position.

Ayew is so awful to watch man. How is he still in and around this team.

Palace are the dullest team in the league for me.
Man Utd haven't even been playing well in the lead up to this. It's horrific stuff from Roy.
Fittingly they've got Bruce in the studio to make this an all around horrific experience.
-
Palace are down 2-0 and just letting Man Utd knock it about to kill the clock.e Very strange.

Find it hilarious how people are using this negatively against Ten Hag.
He has given him ample chances. He was late again to training despite all of this going on but was spotted playing FIFA at 3am yet claims he has a sleep problem. He's a waste of space.
I'd say it's unlikely he plays for us again and Ten Hag is fully backed by the fans on the matter.
The kid seems completely void of any intelligence.

He was never really any pressure on him, other than a handful of bloodthirsty journos and a small minority of knackers in the fanbase.
Got to keep the next manager sacked betting market alive too.

TIL that Andy Cole and Moussa Sissoko played for Newcastle in the past...
Could have had two people with 3 assists on Sunday if Wilson tucks away the two chances Gordon put on a plate for him.

Nothing wrong with saying his finishing wasn't great yesterday. He is still clinical... They aren't mutually exclusive. You can be an elite finisher and have a shoddy game.
People are responding to a post where the guy said that it was concerning how many chances he now needs to finally score a goal. Hardly the same thing.

I was actually a bit miffed with Miggy for the first 20 mins or so, his default mode seems to be to run around but not actually attack the opposition with any real intent. But in the second half he did get into some really dangerous areas, and yeah he was coming in central and causing them real problems. And that goal was mint, love how he stepped over it to block the defender's attempt to cut him off.
That little step over was very sharp. Good confident finish too.

Kudos to Howe for ultimately keeping him around and bringing him through like this.
Very encouraging sign for all the talented youngsters being brought in.

In a right funk this morning from this, can't believe we could've been 2-0 down in first 20 minutes, worse feeling than the Liverpool game.

Saying we were fortunate by focusing on their 2 half chances is like saying Brighton were lucky to win because we fluffed 2 good opportunities up in the first 7 minutes against them.
In this league, every team will get at least 1 decent chance a match the vast, vast majority of the time.
This really shouldn't need explaining.
Hard to believe people can sit and watch so much football and not even know what they're looking at.
It's a great point you raised about the Brighton game because we could have easily scored a couple early on like you said. Funnily enough no one was mentioning that when we lost.
Think some folks just have a knack for viewing the team from the most negative viewpoint. It's bizarre.

Man, this is too strange for me. I'm out.

Anyone thinking we deserved to be ahead after 20 mins is absolutely kidding themselves. It was only after that first goal we got our mojo back. I really hope that's it now...been lacking confidence since Liverpool.
Why are you so concerned about the first 20 mins?
As if every team always comes out the blocks on fire and just maintains that for 90 mins.
This is so incredibly strange.

If there is one time to enjoy this ride, it is after an 8-0 away win.
Apparently not man.

For context, these lot almost done Tottenham, and got a draw against City. Why are we so tough on our squad? It was a cracking performance by our lot and I'm not taking anything away from them at all.
It's so ridiculous man, honestly

Some of it was pretty bad - but I've no issue with anyone honestly questioning signings being made. Nowt wrong with that.
Like I said that is not the issue, and I really don't like how it gets minimised to that once things backfire, and people start backtracking.
-
People acting as if last season we were playing this perfect football where we never came under pressure and just blew teams away. So bizarre.

Dummet is nuts. Where was he just then?
Lascelles did well to make that difficult for them.
