What a goal from Mathys Tel. My word!!!

Bayern are too careless and wasteful. Not sure how well they'll do in this competition at all.

I love him, he can be wasteful but he’s also electric and just comes to life with bursting runs at times. He’s one of those odd ones where you feel like he’s somehow not reached his full potential despite having an amazing career so far
Him and Dembele at PSG are so dangerous running with the ball when they take flight but too often their general play can be such a mess.
Just think that's who they are. Not sure it's something they'll overcome.

Sane is so careless with the ball. Frustrating player.

These handball decisions are pathetic. The game's gone
Much stricter in Europe.
If it hits your hand in the box you're done for.

Sane such a poorly timed and weighted pass to play Musiala in.

Big moment for Hojlund. Good goal.

Doing a small amount of perusing that Bournemouth home thread from last season, and it is grim as hell. Some of you are totally revising your stances from last season
Not at all surprised to hear that.

That Onana cunt is fucking useless.
You guys look good.
Passed it well some. No major gaps behind your midfield. And your players look interested.
Shame about the score though.

Well done.

Don't bother man.
I was clearly just taking the piss too.
Flip is just in his feelings about something from the other day.

Reguillon is Man Utds best player already.

Isak looks disinterested schar against brighton just half arsing it with his lazy leg block attempt tonali in the same game. Things we never witnessed last season.

I'm not saying we weren't twisting on because we drew against bournemouth and palace. I'm saying in those games we played quite well and created chances that weren't taken. You could see it would click at some point, contrast that to the present we look disjointed in all phases of the game. Our style has changed our performances have dropped off players are looking disinterested.
Ah, that's a new one.

You could expect that yeah but sometimes it takes time. See Joelinton.
How about Grealish at £100 million?!
Already played in the league and all, spoke the language and joined a team with top players everywhere!
People just say stuff man.

Eh? For the price we paid I do expect him to hit the ground running sooner rather than later tbh.
In what world does it work like this?

People on here moaned like fuck just drawing with Palace and Bournemouth.
I don't doubt it at all. It's revisionist history all of a sudden.
I'm sure pulling up the match threads would reveal the ugly truth.
Pretty sure I recall major complaining at the time about how we were so poor because we didn't get a right winger and that we'd struggle and not progress because of it.

Surely it's way too early to judge that. We've had a handful of games and the majority have been against absolute top teams.
No matter how much you say this, it will not register.

Longstaff is more intelligent off the ball and more aware of which spaces to cover than Joelinton is though. The latter isn’t the most positionally aware (defensively) and mostly relies on his physicality. For me, Joelinton’s best position is on the left wing; he can just run up and down the line without having to really think about where to be.
I wanted Joelinton at left wing this season and a DM brought in, but that ship has sailed. We have Gordon and Barnes for that left wing spot now.
I would trust Joelinton to make the adjustment with instructions of exactly what he needs to do there (RCM) and bring more to that side than Longstaff currently does.
Just my opinion though.

Joelinton is good offensively and defensively at LCM. Why move him? He won't be as dangerous going forward from the right.
While he's out. Sure Tonali at LCM. He's trying to run into advanced positions for progression but it's not working, nobody is finding him. We can keep at that but I think we'd be better off trying to pass it forward. Ideally with Hall at LB who can push into midfield and link with Tonali and the winger.
I explained why in my first post.
Tonali's current defensive lapses wouldn't be as costly on the left with Burn at left back and sitting deeper. Gordon's defensive work is also good. Tonali can then focus more on his attacking contributions.
On the right I think we need Joelinton's defensive ability there for now to get more out of Trippier.
