Im not convinced the players respect Beckham as much as the fans do. Van Basten, Klinsmann, Maradona never had their positions questioned as a footballer the way Beckham does/did. I do not think the likes of Terry, Rooney and co would respect him enough to put his coaching inexperience to one side.
Harry Redknapp is the one for me because he understands the modern footballer. He is the modern manager, he loves his material things, he's a piss taking wide boy who the players would not want to let down. He is Keeganesque in the way he builds players up, but tactically far more astute.
If the FA have got any bollocks they will put the investigation stuff to one side and appoint him
