  1. Erm...I'm going to go with yes. Well I hope we find him a really good partner who can take some pressure of him then. I hope we don't end up going 4-5-1 and putting him under too much pressure to score all the goals. However not sure we have any combination of two central midfielders that would work in a 4-4-2. Worrying situation really.
  2. To us, on loan. Only went to Manchester airport because of the thunder and lightning. Would be great if we could get Huntelaar. Never. Um ... okay, thanks? By the way what's with this Ben Arfa to Newcastle link? Any info on Ben Arfa's situation in general?
  3. So do you guys believe Carroll getting the number 9 guarantees him as a first team fixture then?
  4. To us, on loan. Only went to Manchester airport because of the thunder and lightning. Would be great if we could get Huntelaar.
  5. Likely lose him on a free next summer then ... just don't see him signing a new contract.
  6. What? No way! Lucas kicked out of the team and Gerrard back into midfield alongside Mascherano. Joe Cole just behind Torres, and Jovanovic, who looks a very good left winger, out on the left. Kuyt on the right. That would be really good.
  7. Taylor has become quite the crock hasn't he? Getting silly now.
  8. Guthrie and Barton in for Alan Smith and Kevin Nolan. What do you think?
  9. Bet the Guthrie and Barton partnership pisses all over the Nolan and Smith one.
  10. Is Vuckic on the left? And Routledge on the right then?
  11. This is awesome. You're terrible.
  12. Oh dear ... http://www.tynetime.com/2010/07/15/newcastle-united-submit-5m-bid-for-anthony-annan/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=newcastle-united-submit-5m-bid-for-anthony-annan
  13. I know the Huntelaar link is unlikely, but surprised by some of the comments tbh. People not keen because he's supposedly been 'rubbish' at Madrid (not true by the way!) and Milan. Um ... you do understand the kind of players he was in competition with at these clubs right? We've just been promoted from the championship and I'm pretty confident he would be a huge upgrade on what we have. Wouldn't describe him as a big time charlie discarded from a top club either. Who is then likely to come over for the money and take the piss. He hasn't really gotten a chance at either Madrid or Milan and so will be hungry to prove himself, especially as he is still just 26. Wouldn't be surprised if he would even be willing to take less money just to play. He's going to have to drop down a level in the club he joins next to play more, and so it is likely he will have to do this anyway.
  14. Similarish to Agbonlahor I would have thought.
  15. I wonder how much they would ask for him though. Possibly even loan him with a view to a permanent move. If it was a possibility I think it would be a great move personally. The guy just needs to get on the pitch. Has been mucked about the last few years at both Madrid and AC Milna, both of who bought him when they didn't really need him.
  16. Could be Salvio (20) or Baldé (19) from Atletico, if there is any truth in it at all. Getafe is in Madrid isn't it? Juan Albin maybe?
  17. Despite what I already knew and liked about him myself, upon reading that 'in a nutshell' description, it just makes me realise that our chances of signing him are slim. Yeah, pretty much. From what I saw of him I'd be astonished if we had any sort of chance.
  18. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat???!!! That is just bloody horrific. Pulis and his gladiator head ball will freakin' ruin him. Hope this is bollocks. If he's available we should be looking into it. I feel sick.
  19. After all the talk of Annan on this board I did keep a close eye on him during the world cup and was very impressed. Apart from being typically dynamic and athletic, what impressed me most was his intelligent use of the ball. Keeps it simple and does very well playing short forward passes to ignite the teams forward play. Really liked him.

    Dan Gosling

It's an interesting comparison you make with Milner. Good thing that Gosling already sees himself as more of a central player too.
  21. Stefano OKaka was on loan at Fulham last season. Didn't see much of him though, so not sure how he got on. Supposed to be quite promising though.
  22. Yeah, Keisling has had a great season aswell. In fact you could even argue he should have been in ahead of Klose considering the season just past. Fair play to Klose though.
