Jonathan David is great tonight. Buy him.

Watching this game too. He is so cool and calm about his business and just keeps bagging goals.

Love his temperament, intelligence and movement. Really hope he is on our list.

  2. I think Howe just probably thinks it will allow us to progress quicker having a strong base of Prem experienced players initially, until we become a bit more established.

I think the value abroad is always so much better, and the midfield options we have been linked with abroad are so much more interesting IMO i.e. the likes of Ugarte and Alvarez just as two quick examples that are McTominay type combative midfielders.

However, we'll just have to let Howe do his thing and probably have one of these Prem preferences flop, so he gets it out of his system. Unless of course they come in and they do better under him with his tutelage. It will work itself out.

Howe doesn't seem very keen on buying foreign players from abroad does he? Only did so a handful of times at Bournemouth. Has of course brought in Bruno, Isak and Botman but it seems like the players we're continually linked with are either UK born or have considerable PL experience.

I think I can also confidently assume that Isak and Botman spoke good English on arrival while Bruno barely spoke any and was blooded very slowly into the team. Maybe English proficiency is something he places a lot of emphasis on. Just a thought.

He definitely seems to  be prioritising Premier League experience, only then pivoting to foreign options when the options here are not feasible for one reason or the other.

Looked like we were looking at DCL ahead of Isak at one point, with his injury issues causing us to move away from him, just as another example.

Henry claiming Bellingham wants to join Liverpool. Not sure how he'd know, but I hope he's wrong.

Both he and his dad support them and Gerrard was his favourite player. As long as they can afford him I think he likely does join them.

Players don't always play with their hands by their sides. He's about 2 yards away, the ball is blasted at him and it hits his hand slightly away from his body

    It's getting beyond ludicrous

Isn't the close proximity thing just a Premier League directive? Don't think that was implemented for European competitions was it?

I wouldn’t be, I would never ask for a pen for that. Guy blasts the ball off his arm FFS, come on man.

I don't know man. I can kind of see why that was given.

  7. As far as the retake goes. That shouldn't be retaken if the first person to encroach is a Chelsea player.

Once that happens it should void any Dortmund player being called for encroaching.

These handballs are ruining the game.

If that was against us we'd all be screaming for a pen though.

As he turned his arm comes away from his side and the ball hits it, it's a penalty.

  9. It's all about timing.

Bruno, Botman and Isak are all elite level players, which they will continue to show more obviously as more quality is added to the team, but we just bought them before it was as obvious as it will continue to be going forward.

Osimhen is likely going to be the number one striker target for any of the top clubs in the world that are looking for a striker, so any conversation cannot even begin below £100 million. We will not be in for him.

I think we'll again look to get a player in that position that is an elite level talent, but one that we've perhaps identified before it has become so obvious that it rockets their price up.

I think the likes of Goncalo Ramos, Evanilson, Kolo Muani and Jonathan David will likely be considered. Those ones have all shown a lot of very strong signs of being special, and I'm sure there are a few others out there.

He’s on huge wages and Palace have always wanted big money for him.

Also come on, he went to Man United at the worst possible time and he was young.

His wages would not be a hinderance for any of those clubs.

Even with his contract running down the past two years there has been no move.

He'll be on a free this summer. Lets see where he ends up and what he ends up doing.

    Your mental

Zaha has consistently been one of the best players outside of the top 6 for years.

It’s cool kaka I think you just like those hard working players.

I think his time at Man United and no further moves to any of those top 6 clubs since then, probably tells you all you need to know.

You've been banging on that Zaha is shit for years Kaka

Would you be happy if we bought him?

I don't like Zaha at all as a footballer, because although he pops up with goals, I think his general play is usually poor and he loses the ball a lot. He also constantly moans at the opposition, the refs and his own team mates because in his mind he can do no wrong.

Most times there have been discussions on Zaha I'm pretty sure I have stated somethign along these lines, and fair enough if people don't agree, but I am not a fan of his at all, but at least I gave some context as to why.
