Thought he started poor and was wasteful at first but got better in the second half. His problem is he is never fit. This is his chance to try and cement a place in the team but he has lasted a game and a half. He is just too weak physically and mentally. No use to us when he is never fit for a run of games. Not even sure what the problem with his knee was, he landed normally and didn’t jar it
100% this!
Once he gets pushed off the ball a few times or starts losing the ball a few times he just gets worse and worse from there and starts falling over more and looking to the ref to bail him out.
We cannot play both he and Willock on the same side as they are both so physically weak with the ball a lot of the time and both also tend to be really careless in the same manner. That left side has completely died since Joelinton has had to drop deeper.

The four that started behind him were absolutely terrible for most of the game, and they didn't consistently get him the ball in good areas or make his life any easier whatsoever.
Love his movement and willingness to move into the channels as well as drop into space. Wasn't great on the ball today, but kept going till the end and worked hard for the team. So much more to come from him. The least of my concerns.
Going forward we will really need better options out wide and better number 8s too. Growing very weary of the players in those positions at the minute and our strikers will suffer for it.
-
Play him on the left to get the best out of his attributes please. No idea where that leaves ASM, but that's too bad for him.

Genuinely think this guy is the best manager in the league. Have absolutely no issues with him whatsoever, and can't for the life of me understand how anyone does. This team of players we have should be nowhere near the position they are in, and it's all down to him.
Every critique I had in the match thread today was down to my frustration with the players. So many of them are really capable of some terrible play, and are just so careless over their decision making and execution, as well as also lacking urgency when they have the ball, it's really frustrating to watch. I'm really looking forward to the manager eventually getting some better talent to work with.
-
Wish he'd have come in on the left right away so he had more room to run at them.
Was a shame he had to make do with playing off Isak instead while ASM continuously wasted opportunities to make an impact on the left side.
-
I have to say ASM is incredibly disappointing.
Huge opportunity with Bruno out recently to get back in the team and make an impact, and he has been really poor on the whole.
His passing has been terrible and he seems to be getting shrugged off the ball incredibly easily of late.
He's blowing it big time IMO.

Bournemouth didn't look great technically, but they are athletic and at times they were too quick for us.
Gordon has to start next week. We need his pace and movement. Isak played better as the game went on, partly because he was able to roam around a bit, with more players getting into the penalty area.
Dan Burn is really struggling, and he nearly gave the game away at the end.
Still, there was a time not long ago when drawing away was a decent result.
This definitely didn't help us today.
They managed to bring in some really quick athletic players in the window and they are indeed far more of a headache to deal with because of it.

With Bruno out we just end up with too many people that don't use the ball well enough in the final third.
Pushing Joelinton back to the number 6 spot actually limits our creativity going forward as he does often get involved in creating good passages of play with others that leads to chances being created.
Having ASM, Almiron, Willock and Longstaff supporting the striker is just too infuriating. At least one of them is going to do something daft to mess things up almost every single time.
Gordon improved things and has to start next game for one of those lot. Might also have to play Longstaff deep and push Joelinton into one of the more forward positions.

For who though? Not having a moan at you, just can't think of Lewis doing any better. Obviously Targett when he's fit, but right now, we're so starved of options everywhere
Targett still not fit? What on Earth is going on with him for goodness sake?!
-
Dan Burn has to be dropped after today man.
-
Trippier's deliveries stink today man. Sick of this lot today.
-
is Dan Burn fucking crazy?!

ASM is so annoying man

Guff team performance aside, Joelinton was fucking exceptional. Looked an absolute league above the rest of the team.
Looks very very good in that number 6 role. The guy is something else man. Just an absolute legend.

Thank fuck. I’m a glass half full bloke but this has been dreadful like. Huge opportunity in the second half that didn’t look likely 10 minutes ago.
Yeah, same. Some horrendous play today man, my God.

Maxi with a great pass, solid shot by Longstaff and Miggy with the composed finish.
Three of the most annoying players so far today, and they've combined at that moment incredibly well.
They have all been poor in this game though, some really awful play from all three of them.

Having a big lumbering CB at full back really isn't ideal.
Yeah, think this really needs to stop now.
We really need better ability on the ball and runs forward from that position at the minute.
-
Gifted that to us. Very fortunate.
If Miggy had missed that man. Think I would have exploded.
-
ASM and Almiron have done nothing from wide positions the whole game. Such a pair of headless chickens man.
They've both had their moments at the club, but going forward, no chance they can be starters in this team.
-
ASM is actually pathetic.
-
Joelinton's the only one that has shown up today.
-
Longstaff is so fucking annoying today man.
-
Big substitution. Could turn things around for us.
Gordon playing off of Isak could be a very big improvement.
-
Rubbish delivery from Trippier. He's been off with his use of the ball recently and all.

Yeah, think it's clear they are preparing to make some key moves next summer, and were not looking to compromise them in any way shape or form in January. Champions League possibilities or not.
