Pretty cool seeing St. Maximin again. What an atmosphere this is. Wow.

What since the takeover?! That's surprising to hear. We could have got Mbeumo for a decent fee back then and Brentford do the whole money ball thing so are willing sellers as long as a fee is agreed on. Wonder why we never went for him before now.
-
Should have done it this past summer. Maybe we get away with a £40 million deal. I think now we're looking at £50 million at least. Maybe we could send Barnes the other way as part of the deal. Could see him at Brentford.
-
Surely a few would for a 26 year old with his Premier League output? How much did Joachim Andersen move to Fulham for again, around £30 million? He's 28 and is a defender. For goals and assists teams typically pay more and he's younger.
-
Barnes record for us and his start to the season likely makes him very attractive to other clubs. We paid £40 million right? He's still only 26. Think we'd easily get that money back. Pretty much guarantees a decent output in the Premier League and is good enough to be starting every week.
-
Not surprised by that really. His age and experience probably makes him one of our more valuable assets that we could let go to raise funds. I'm not sure how much interest he'll garner at this point though, with his recent long injury layoff and poor form. I imagine we'd want at least £25 million for him minimum, but not sure if anyone bids that currently. He should probably join a team that doesn't play such an intense style, as his body doesn't seem to hold up. Could maybe see him at a West Ham or Fulham.

They don't get enough credit for grabbing Olly Watkins from the Championship and all, and turning him into their lead man upfront.
-
Gyokeres man ... my goodness!

Shocking VAR decision against Stuttgart to cross out their goal.
-
Good finish from Malen. And he's just setup a second. Looking dangerous down that right side.
-
It might all work out with Eddie. Let's see how it goes. Just speculating and having a chat. No harm in it.
-
I don't like how things are going I'm afraid. And so I'm no longer bothered either way. Really like him as a manager, but think there may be a significant blind spot with recruitment, and not sure he's open to being more flexible, and that really irks me. Let's see what happens though. Maybe it all works out.

I like Sergio Concecaio. He left Porto this summer after the president got the boot. Multiple titles and cups at Porto with a squad that didn't really have any big stars and wasn't as good as Benfica's and Sporting's in his time there. https://breakingthelines.com/tactical-analysis/analysing-sergio-conceicaos-porto/

Not a bad shout actually. Think he's played that role before with Bruno further forward. If it means he's in there with Bruno and Tonali I'd be up for that. In which case I'd like us to try Joelinton on the right, such is the desperation with that position. I'd probably even give Ruddy a run out there to see what he can do

The Athletic says Howe is considering recalling Longstaff to the first 11 because we haven't won a game since he dropped out of the first team, and he isn't well suited to being a substitute So yeah, looks like the solution to the current situation is Longstaff. I think we're in big trouble this season.
-
This Palace situation is pretty comical after all the sneering over Guehi Can't believe they haven't won a game. In other news we have dropped down to 9th place
-
Amazing the difference the right setup can make to a player. Just didn't quite fit ours.

Wood and Awoniyi is a decent set of strikers for Forest. This rotation role is far better for Taiwo as he is ridiculously injury prone.
-
Wood is so much better just staying high up the pitch with someone playing off him. Isn't as isolated, and doesn't need to drop in and hold the ball up. Was the same with Ashley Barnes doing the hold up for him at Burnley as a second striker and now at Forest he has a number 10 always dropping in instead. Worked out really well for Forest.
-
I'd agree if we were forking out money for him. On a free though it would have made sense, especially considering our PSR situation. If someone meets the clause we get decent money out of it as pure profit, to go and sign other players. I'm almost certain a big part of Chelsea going for him was them knowing they'd be flipping him for money in a year or two so they can keep spending billions. It's a smart move.
-
It's pretty disheartening. But the rules were there years beforehand. We were way too careless managing the situation. No one to blame but ourselves really.
-
Looks like he's enjoying the freedom of that number 10 position.

Should have just had a great assist too. My goodness. This season just keeps getting more and more annoying.
