I can't believe you think this is true. This is unbelievable.

The likes of Bruno and Botman were £30 million players that came in and performed right away and raised us to another level. Why could we not just continue in this vein? We could have looked at similar to fill the right wing and centre back positions if we were on top of our scouting and we had a broader range of targets. Villa are playing Ramsey, Rogers and McGinn behind Watkins and are leaving us in the dust, and progressing in the Champions League and comfortably competing for top 4 again. Why are we chasing £60 million players to try and do the same?!
-
Yup. Pretty sobering thought. But then again Osula hasn't been given the chances yet. Probably would have been the same if we had Delap instead and all.

If Howe kept on saying there was only a small pool of players that could improve us, and then only seemed to focus on a few players when the window was open, how was he shafted during the transfer window? We weren't able to tie up the Tosin deal and focused on Olise even when Bayern and Chelsea were involved, and didn't manage that deal either. These moves were both prior to Mitchell coming in. Then came the Guehi and Elanga debacles, with still so much time to look elsewhere, but apparently these two were part of the small pool, and so we only focused on them even though the fees were sky high. Don't understand the narrative that he was somehow shafted.

I can't believe what I'm looking at really.

That pathetic lunge at ESR by Ashley Young man.

Just looked at the table and I need both to lose. Can't believe where we are in relation to both teams!

Can't even imagine what Brentford would ask for fee wise for Mbeumo now. Chance gone.
-
Mbeumo has done it again.

Ross Barkley for £5 million was another nice move by Villa. Good goal. Might get Villa the three points here.

Brighton have defeated football. Hiring some 30 year old manager from league 2 in Germany and continuing to move forward so impressively makes a complete mockery of everyone else.

Welbeck really is taking the piss.

I really like how Ipswich play. Their manager is pretty impressive. Think he has some history with Man Utd and they considered him briefly over the summer. Good thing they didn't go for it.
-
Really liked him. Always thought he played with a lot of maturity, and eventually the goals and assists would come. Think playing in that number 10 position has given him a bit more freedom, and he's benefitting from that.
-
Yeah, he's actually pretty poor at it. Even at Burnley, Ashley Barnes always did the dirty work for him.

There's a general habit of calling players shite even at other clubs that really irks me. There's so much that goes into getting the best out of certain players. Most need a setup that benefits them. The exceptional players find a way no matter what, but those are rare. You watch how isolated Isak can be in our setup sometimes and you understand why Wood struggled. Isak has still been great for us anyway because of his greater ability and talent. The thing Wood really struggled with was holding the ball up in general play, or dropping into space and linking play when needed, which is required in our 4-3-3 because there's often no one playing off the striker. At forest they play someone in the number 10 position which takes a lot of that responsibility off him, as he can just stay high up the pitch. I think he also benefits from playing with two wide men that are more traditional in looking to beat their man and whip a ball into the box. He's showing he's got really good goal scoring instincts if the right conditions are put in place for him. I don't think he would have ever showed the same for us with the way our system works.

Fatawu is so untidy and careless man.

This man Vardy just keeps on going. Great setup from Harry Winks.

Forest up to 5th as things stand.

Yeah, as promising as Tino and Hall might be going forward, spending around £75 million on the pair for where the club is financially, regarding revenue coming in, was too much too soon. We could and should have been a lot cuter with the moves we made. Some comparable talents in those positions that came to the Premier League, just as an example. Kerkez the left back at Bournemouth for around £14 million and Hickey the right back at Brentford also for around £14 million. Total of just under £30 million for the pair.

Maxi assist! En-Nesyri so good with the headers. Nice goal.
-
Onana please stop that behaviour.

Was just reading the other day he was looking good in training. This is so tragic man. What a mess we're in if Isak doesn't get a consistent run of full fitness.

Pretty cool seeing St. Maximin again. What an atmosphere this is. Wow.
