There's actual video evidence he's very quick but he doesn't seem the type to bomb around at full pelt all the time.
Yeah ... don't understand how it's been determined he's not that pacy from last night's game.

Soumare.

I’m almost certain he was quoted as saying this back in Jan..
Asked if he would be open to loans, Howe said: “Yes, the structure of the transfer doesn’t matter to me. It’s about the individual.
"Matt Targett came in as a loan player, but committed to everything and felt like a Newcastle player from day one. Another individual’s character might be different, and you get the feeling they’re just here for a set time – and will then move on.
"I’d be reluctant to do those types of transfers, so it’s all about the person – and them committing to the club and team.
“It’s a feel you get from speaking to them and the agent. You’ll sense the commitment from the player very early. If you’re going to sign a player, they have to be committed to your club.”

He’d have a better goal/assist output no doubt but as fitting in our overall style you’d get more out of Miggy imo. Moura has been on a physical downturn for a little while now.
Moura played a fair bit last season. Still looked as quick and dynamic as usual. Can't remember thinking he'd slowed down at all.

Howe has stated that a future fee must be included in any loan deals
He hasn't said that.

Not for me, Miggy fits into this sides style better than Moura would.
Wow. Not for me. Moura has a great strike on him. He'd get goals from that position more regularly and also dribbles past defenders so well.

Moura doesn’t add up for me, if it’s a loan it will have to include an optional fee as Howe has stated before. Age and wage suggest it’s unlikely.
Don't think he ever said it would HAVE to include an optional fee.

Can't see Moura tbh, doesn't seem to fit with our profile of targets at all.
It's an end of the window loan though. Makes sense to me.
Next Summer we go after our main targets again.

Moura would be class! get him signed up boys.
btw
is it just me who finds this extremely enjoyable? after the Ashley era of no hope pointlessness, this is just so refreshing.
Yeah man. I'm enjoying it, we all should be really.
It's been so long since we were even vaguely interested in doing anything on deadline day.
-
Moura on that right side as a wide forward would be pretty sweet! Huge upgrade.
Can play wide and upfront, so even less Murphy and Chris Wood.
And best of all ... more Brazil!

Have you considered that it might be because Howe is asking him to track back a lot more? It's been pretty noticeable that in the second half of last season we've been seeing Willock playing a lot deeper, sometimes defending in our own penalty area, he covers a hell of a lot of ground. In fact that is the problem, he's usually absolutely spent after 70 mins. We really needed to get him substituted by then, but Howe wanted him to stay on. Maybe because he didn't think we had an alternative who could cover that much ground.
No manager is telling any midfielder to not be in position to ever get on the ball and try to influence the game.
Every other player in our midfield seems to manage it, including those that have played in that same position when he doesn't start.
Come on man. I know you like him, but that's silly.

Dendoncker touted to be off to Villa if they sell Luiz to Arsenal
Yeah? Hadn't seen that. Not a bad move if they pull that off actually.
If nothing else is on the horizon I think he'd be a good pick up for us.

They will replenish like usual - such a shame though as I thought they had slightly adjusted their transfer policy in terms of trying to hold their players bar the odd one like an Antony for a huge fee.I suppose money talks in the end - sad really because they are such a giant of a club - just reflects the reality of the money in football today
Yeah, they should be fine with the money they've pulled in. They've been very well compensated.
I think they will really continue targeting good players that have gone to bigger leagues and haven't quite clicked and bring them in.
Worked fantastically well with Haller last year and they've done well to get Bergwijn this summer.

Nice move for him. Best of luck to him, was a good performer for us.
-
The Athletic are saying that Dendoncker has been offered to us. He apparently wants out at Wolves. Weirdly supports or supported Newcastle when he was younger as someone mentioned on here recently.
If a loan is possible I could see us doing that deal late on as it wouldn't be a difficult one to wrap up.
Don't think any of our midfielders outside of Bruno and Joelinton are better than him, and so think it would be a solid move.
Does Murphy have any Portuguese heritage? Maybe we can send him back over there.

What a summer for Ajajx. So much chaos. Making an absolute killing though.

It’s people giving their opinion what’s going to happen. It’s happened the whole way thru the window. You yourself yesterday posted saying you think we will sign pedro and I think tielemans? How is that any different to an individual saying we won’t sign anyone
I said that one time. No one else had said it prior to or has after I did. I don't know what point you're trying to make here
'We're not signing anyone' um ... okay great contribution. Very interesting. How many people have said that already?
Quit spamming the thread bed wetters!

If Shelvey wasn't injured we'd be alright in midfield. But since he's missing at least half the season we're really relying on Bruno staying constantly fit.
Shelvey has been a big miss. Often under appreciated by most, and so I hope they see his value now.

None of us know for certain but it’s looking that way it’s an educated guess just like you thinking we are bringing in pedro and another is an uneducated guess
won’t be long to find out
I just don't see the point in continuing to post that.
It's annoying waiting on news and seeing there have been new posts and it's just people continuing to repeat that. Seriously what is the point?
-
I'm guessing the people that keep going on about us being done and closed for business are saying this as a coping mechanism to manage their anxiety or something?
None of us know for certain so can we just wait on any news and follow things the rest of the day in peace? My God.
