  1. I was listening to Sidwell, who played for Potter, on Talksport yesterday talking about Potter and him moving to Chelsea, like Sidwell did as a player.

From what he said I could see Chelsea having a huge new manager bounce. The areas they have struggled with are the forward areas, where most of the talent they have are younger players, and Sidwell was saying how great Potter is with players and that he listens to them and really gains their trust.

Could really see the likes of Pulisic, Gallagher, Mount and Havertz reaching much higher levels right away.

Had he not had that god awful game in the Final he'd probably still be at Liverpool or atleast be at another Prem club so we could certainly do worse as back up.

Yeah, he's been at both Man City and Liverpool and so does have talent.

That was a shocking night for him. Wouldn't have wished that on anyone really. Couldn't stay on at Liverpool after that under the kind of pressure that would have come with it.

Would rather have taken Ben Foster like, just for a bit more NUFC content on his Youtube. Probably a better keeper too.

Gillespie must be nowhere near the standard if he's not even trusted as a 3rd choice keeper.

Think they wanted a keeper that is accustomed to being higher up the pitch and quick off their line. Pope has been fantastic at that.

Karius was at both Man City and Liverpool ad is used to playing for teams with a higher line.

You can tell he really loved his time at Newcastle.

People will say all these players from abroad won't want to go to certain places because of the weather or because it's not the main city in certain countries. All complete bollocks really.

That period when he came into the team and was doing so well was so exciting man. What a gem we suddenly unearthed. Really glad for the guy that it ended up kick starting his career, which has really taken an upward trajectory. Wish it could have all happened at Newcastle, but just one of those things that injury he had messed it all up.

    Need to rescue Diaby imo.

Yeah, definitely worth another check in with them in January. They are stinking it up.

His price is going to plummet too, as will any other interest. Starting bid of £20 million this time around.

Be laughable to give him the sack after what he's done for them. Think he's entitled to turn around a dodgy start to a season

PS, he is a bellend though.

Yeah, man. Can't believe suggestions his position would come under threat.

Their issues are more to do with recruitment in that midfield area. No idea why they've been so casual about upgrades in that part of the pitch.

Going to be funny all the fuss made about them over the next few days though, that's for sure.

Nah, I thought he was good last season, just appears to have stepped it up a notch this season.

I actually used to sign him on FM from South America, was aware of him for a bit before Brighton's interest became public knowledge (oooh, I'm hard) and did some Dennis Wise scouting on him, as I thought his name was fascinating and I didn't actually believe he was a real person with a name like that.

Think he'd be a good addition to the squad and an attainable purchase, given he's only at Brighton. Decent tackler / dribbler, room for growth with no major weakness to his game.

Fair enough. Think it's a bit too soon with him though, as he didn't really show too much last season.

And this season he seems to be excelling more in that deeper midfield role, which is quite different from what he has typically played before.

Apparently but was never even as realistic as Isak. Napoli paid ~70m for him.

Yeah, we never had a chance.

He's the striker Chelsea should have gone all out for, but they are dumb.
