  1. Yeah, but think it still gets recorded separately as an incoming deal, and so is probably included in our spend.
  2. Yes, it's because some of them will be used to cover those positions too.

PSG made Nordi Mukiele available recently. Far more likely to be him if we're looking at any defender there. Mitchell signed him for RB Leipzig, when he was with them.

Villa bought Morgan Rogers from Boro for less than £10 million. There's value in the Championship, and they don't just raise their prices for the heck of it.
  5. This was my assumption when he signed, but things have played out differently. The situation just needs clarifying. We can't continue with Murphy/Miggy starting.
  6. It's because the club has been reading the forum and now hates us all. And so they've decided to antagonise us by signing as many goalkeepers as they can manage, and playing them in every position across the pitch.
  7. I don't know why theres this belief that players can't develop further by deputising for more experienced players at the right times, and being brought along in training with the right coaching. This is typically the standard approach for most players development, across all sports.
  8. Yeah, think it all makes perfect sense tbh
  9. I just think we really want Trafford long term. Vlachodimos was just a necessary evil, that we can make some money off of with loans.
  10. Perfectly happy with all that. I still cringe seeing Dubravka on the bench when it happens. Trafford is good with the ball, and is good coming off his line to sweep too I believe. Also a fantastic shot stopper. His issue is his physicality at times, but if he struggles with that badly when called upon, we'll have Ruddy as insurance. We can make a bit of money loaning out Odysseas, as he's of a decent enough calibre to at least get some loan money for.
  11. If by some miracle we get up the pitch and he can whip in a cross, then yes he does pretty well with that. The reality is though, he's a winger that can't take defenders on and can't find his teammates with the ball, killing our build up play, and making it difficult to get him into position to cross the ball.

I've been so impressed by Krafth the last two games there, and major kudos to him, because he's got us 4 valuable points filling in admirably. However, we really could do with another quality centre back. The issue once again is this insistence on it having to be such a specific player. There's so many options we could go with there at the moment. Especially as we still have Schar and Burn playing well, if it is someone that might need a bit of time to adjust or settle in, coming from another league or whatever.

Can't see anyone signing him this week as he's injured.

Everton are an absolute mess right now, and just imagine ... I watched a bit of their game, and was actually sat there envious of them having Jack Harrison on the right wing. That's embarrassing. They got him on loan from Leeds for the second season in a row, and I don't believe there is any obligation to buy. I would take that deal right now instead of doing nothing. I remember us almost signing this guy a little while back, and there was a fair bit of derision back then. If we only knew how things would end up. We are still waiting for a solution on that side.

There is no need for DCL at all now, unless Wilson has managed to tear something else and is out for the season, which wouldn't surprise me.

Our right wing options are the worst in the league. Tonali coming in should improve things down that side though, as the combination of Longstaff with those wingers, guarantees a terrible disjointed team performance. Trippier playing with Longstaff and those wingers can also help with things down that side. This was why we've got away with it previously. The situation has become farcical though. Long term we know Miggy and Murphy will soon be gone. They are both older and they aren't consistently good performers. Can we not just get a half decent option down that side that does not cost the Earth? This player can eventually become the backup down the line and still be better than Miggy and Murphy right now. As already mentioned, Rowe from Norwich was a great example of this kind of player.
  17. Football shouldn't mean that much to anyone. That's a proper grown man for goodness sake. Embarrassing.
  18. Felt sick for Tino today, trying to work with Longstaff and Murphy on his side. Could see he was trying to progress the ball but had very little to work with ahead of him.

See ... what you've shared in this post is what is really starting to annoy me. They seem to really be over thinking things with this narrow pool of players they seem to be looking at. We are starting Miggy/Almiron on that right side. Two wingers that barely dribble, and make poor decisions with the ball regularly. I'm telling you, we have the worst options in that position in the whole league. Semenyo was bought for £10 million from the Championship and looks ten times better than Miggy and Murphy. Elanga cost £15 million, Palmer went to Chelsea for around £35 million, Madueke for £30 million, Bailey cost £30 million, Kudus cost £30 million. We missed the boat with all of these types of players, seemingly chasing some £50 million 'significant improvement', while suffering through using guys that currently barely look up to Championship standard. This is so incredibly frustrating. Improving significantly on the pair of them does not require a £50 million player at all! There should also be numerous better options across all the leagues we have to pick from. At the minute it feels like every game I put on has a better player there than we do. This is crazy.
  20. Yup, they've realised young English talent is under valued before they are fully developed, and then massively over valued when they have developed some, and are exploiting it.
  21. They're saying Sterling actually supports Man Utd, or did growing up at least.
  22. Apparently Chelsea are trying to add Chilwell and Sterling to the deal for Sancho.

Our midfield is a kind of version of one of Ancelotti's AC Milan sides that had a midfield three of Ambrossini, Pirlo and Gattuso. Joelinton would be our Gattuso as the destroyer. Bruno sitting in the middle like Pirlo did, and being the main creator. Tonali more of an all rounder like Ambrossini was. This is what I am hoping it eventually shapes up like anyway.
